Just a couple of random thoughts.
So the 2020 tour got cut short. No tour in 2021, but we did get Postcards from Ireland In 2023 we only had a Christmas Tour Then we had a tour in 2024 Then there was only a Christmas Tour in 2025
So I've always wondered what happens when a group is not on tour? OK, chances are pretty good the band members can always find work. Vocalists, maybe not so much. Musical director? Interesting question.
A number of years ago, Lisa Lambe was supposed to be in a play that was "developed" by David Downes. It was coming to New York City. I had tickets. If I recall, they canceled the show about 2 weeks before it opened.

So because of a new director, I love seeing Celtic Woman evolve with new arrangements, would I be ecstatic if Gavin were to return, O Toole had a cinematic approach which while the sound of that album wasn't the best the visual presentation was phenomenal. I do hope that for This New Era tour that for song's like Amazing Grace, You Raise Me Up, Danny Boy etc they would return to the versions before 20th! Or evolve a new version because while for the 20th Anniversary Special was a salute like a Graduation Ceremony, I know that's how the orchestra sounds to me on those songs, for a one time event with the former member's I appreciate it, but if continued not, the trumpets doesn't give the big Celtic Woman energy that we all love idk that's just me, and I'm all about the Irish pipes, and drum dynamic energy that Postcard's of Ireland Tour brought as example. Or if we was to able to return to some David Downes arrangement's that would be terrific as well! Speaking of that, imagine a tour with a blend of Gavin, David, and O Toole version arrangements, would be interesting and. since it's New Era throw in new versions, but they can't because right now all they have is the 20th arrangement's!

Listening to The Greatest Journey right now. I feel that they should have released a Greatest Journey like album to tie in with this tour. A few new songs, maybe some of the 20 "bonus songs", a few tracks from 20 and maybe some from Ancient Land/Postcards from Ireland too.
A Greatest Journey Part 2 DVD that continued the journey from Isle of Hope Tour up to 10th Anniversary, You would probably have to have a Part 3 from Destiny to now or even Part 4 lol. I find special the Boy who made Celtic Woman a Reperspective Videos on Youtube and Viemo!

Oh no. I don't like change. Who does? It really is a New Era.
I think A New Era is referring to them continuing on after the 20th anniversary. The term “era” has become more popular after Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, so maybe they’re trying to capitalise off that as well. Remember when everyone was all “I’m in my __ era”?
Does anyone know why Gavin Murphy and Daragh O’Toole left? Was it some sort of executive decision for the anniversaries? I know David Downes left because of legal trouble and now Lloyd has left because of his cancer, but what about the others? And why doesn’t Brian Byrne tour with them? I know he has two young children, so is it because of that? Did Murphy or O’Toole tour?
Sorry I sound like a toddler who is far too fascinated with things you’ve never thought about , this has just awakened a lot of questions for me 😭
Ooo yes please, I'd like to know myself, your not sounding like a toddler never, just a curious, nerd, or passionate of like the rest of us! 🤓

I’m listening to her album now. She’s a great harpist! I also read the article you linked and can relate to the pain of harp strings snapping…every time I tune, it’s like handling a grenade Isn’t she one of the fiddlers for BIIRD? It’s interesting how both she and Kate play the fiddle and harp (Sal also mentioned the electric violin in the article, which Kate also plays). Maybe everyone in the family plays them.

They still haven’t updated the pictures on the “about” section of their website. Since Tara has confirmed she’s left and Emma hasn’t shown up since 2024, I wonder when they’re going to update it.

I know it feels super odd when your left with all your favorite or loved members have gone, for me having Alex and then Lynn out made me long not yet to accept quick Lisa Lambe. What's magic though is all that will change I hope that you fall in love dearly with the forward lineups and that Tara shows up in special occasions as like Susan.
Yeah…I was a bit apprehensive when Caitríona and Ciara joined, but Caitríona proved to have an amazing voice and Ciara is an excellent fiddle player…I actually wish she’d stayed longer so we could’ve seen more of her playing style! Kate seems to be great, and I love that she plays the harp, so I’m sure I’ll fall in love with her as well! NCIS is also my favourite TV show, so her being named Kate certainly helps!

Whoah!! This is why I'm eery about titles, for me a New Era doesn't really work as a name because it's not like they used that name when Lynn and Alex first replaced Meav and Orla which to me SFTH was like a new era I suppose or not!
Michael Jackson Tour called "This is It"
So perhaps a New Era really is unknown in how different lineup and who is part!

Huh, that's ironic that Taylor New Era... you could be right. Actually yeah, it's the next chapter passing the 20th Anniversary and since the news of the musical director would need to change which I'm not saying is great news because prayers to him, but it's interesting that Gavin Murphey era started right after the 10th Anniversary and is it the director of Postcards From Ireland started after the 15th Anniversary Celebration Tour New Director after 10th Anniversary New Director after 15th Anniversary Celebration New Director upon 20th Anniversary New Director after 20th Anniversary Yet Another Era indeed! Just look at it the sequence is very organized!
