Here’s a new promo image. It appears they’re reusing Susan’s Postcards dress for Eiméar, which seems a bit unfair when the rest got new ones. I will say, however, that the dress is one of the few non-abhorrent uses of mesh I’ve seen, so it certainly could be worse. (Yes, this is an excuse to talk about the dresses. I like fashion.)

My favourite of the bunch is definitely Caitríona’s, but I like them all. We’re going back to green as a main colour…I wonder if they’ll start alternating between red and green by year.

Yeah I noticed that as well, I loved that dress on Susan..It seems they've done that in the past not the first time didn't Caitriona have Megan's dress the last time. Caitríona’s poster looks now is prominent, and I suppose now Eimear is now in those shoes right now meaning at the very start to me I didn't like the poster looks for Caitriona or the dress they photoshopped on her. Pretty amazing Lisa Lambe had a new dress fit for herself when she returned joined as guest!*

 

I have to say that it was definitely one of the first things that i noticed, Eiméar’s looks identical to Susan’s, but when i looked at this other photo it looks like its floor length, when Susan’s was higher in the front and long in the back. I wonder if it could be photoshopped in the picture to be floor length since I’m like 100% sure that it is Susan’s? ☺️ But I guess we’ll see if these end up being the final dresses for the tour since they sometimes change them, however I’m in love with all of them! I was truly hoping they would do green again this year!!

I think it is Susan's. Per the recent video of their photo session for the promo shots for the tour, it shows her full shot of the dress.

Looks like Muirgen and Eiméar had two dresses for the photo session. Guess they were trying to see which option works. Looks like Muirgen ended up wearing what Eiméar was wearing. I wonder how many times in the past the ladies ended up wearing a dress that was selected for someone else until it changed after they got together for pictures.

Historically, the CW costume department has been allergic to sleeves…I think Chloë’s Postcards dress was the last truly sleeved dress we got. (Not that there’s anything wrong with sleeveless outfits; I just find it a bit humourous.)

The gown doesn’t look too different from the original…maybe the sleeves were detachable? Something also could’ve happened to it. However, it does look a little cheap. Maybe it’s just the lighting?

Eiméar’s is absolutely Susan’s old dress. I found it on designer store Sachin and Babi’s website once, so I’m unsure if they reused the dress or bought an identical one.

The design of Kate’s dress reminds me of some of the older gowns…I suppose there is a 2000’s revival happening in fashion right now.

If I had to rank them, it would probably be something along the lines of this, from best to worst:
1. Caitríona
2. Eiméar
3. Muirgen
4. Kate

They’re all decent, though!

I do wonder why they ended up recycling Susan’s dress for Eiméar, then. Maybe it was a personal preference? I do wonder how much agency they have regarding to what they wear.

I wonder too! Not a fan of Muirgen's either, but actually love Caitriona's and Katr's. I probably just prefer the colors.

That dress is actually my favourite CW dress of all time. It’s such a beautiful shade of green and a lovely use of tulle. The floral (?) details are also beautiful and reminiscent of holly leaves.

Oh yes, it was gorgeous! That year Muirgen had a lovely dress, too, with short sleeves. Also, several of thr mid-act dresses throughout the years (I guess they call them Caeli dresses?), have had sleeves. I have loved all of them, as they seem so simple, peasant-like, and traditional.  The grwwn ones in the Ancient Land tour are my personal favorite. I was a little sad that they did away with these mid-show dresses in the 2026 tour! Anyways, I could bore you to tears with my musings on dresses!! But I just love them!
