Caitriona to join Teada this September

A little bird had told me about this. But I thought it is not proper etiquette to post before it is made official. I got my tix a few weeks ago.

What a surprise treat to see Caitriona perform again!

I went to the concert last night.

General thoughts
- This is the 25th anniversary of Teada. They have a new CD.
- They play smaller venues. So it is has a cozy feel. They introduce every song, are very interactive, and are in the lobby during intermission & after the show. Feels like you're in a pub w/o the Guinness.
- Teada groups a few songs together into a set / medley. Again, it's like listening to a session in a pub. They are very talented & the music was fun!
- There were local Irish dancers, and Teada has their own dancer / piano player (Sam).
- They will tour the US in Christmas, which they have done before with Caitriona.

Caitriona's solos
Caitriona performed 4 solos, 2 per session.
- Courting Is a Pleasure
- Mary & The Soldier
- County Down
- Patriot Game

(Disclaimer: I hope this doesn't sound like flexing. I just want to write down my notes, and share where people would appreciate it (here). Thanks!)
- From our seats (kind of off center), I saw Caitriona behind the curtains at intermission. So I waved to her and she waved back. Although I still wasn't sure if she recognized us. And then in the 2nd session, she intro'ed "County Down" and dedicated the song to my wife & me. Even remembered our names, which shows you what a nice & thoughtful person she is! We were shocked. What? She said on stage how much she appreciates her supporters.
- After the show, most of the performers were in the lobby. We got to talk with Caitriona for 15 minutes or so. (We let everyone else talk to her first.) Took pics of course. I grilled her on what CW was doing now & in 2027. But I lost that battle. She did say Eiméar is a gem and we will all like her.

Mary and the Soldier??!?  I love that song! It’s one of the first traditional songs I learned. That would be a fun one for CW to cover…I’ll add it to the list.

That’s incredible that she remembered you two….I think I’d die of excitement 

Sorry if I misunderstood this…but is Caitríona going with Teada for their Christmas tour as well? Will she be alternating between them and CW?

I am not 100% sure either, but I got the feeling she is only doing CW. She did say she'll see us at the CW concert.

Their tour is pretty long too. So I don't see how she'd do both. They've had other singers on tour, as mentioned on the bio page. So they will probably go with someone else.
