I’m curious to see which one because apparently River replaced The Prayer for the Canadian tour leg. CW has been mentioning Joni Mitchell so much I think she’s about to be the next member.
Personally, I’m torn because while I appreciate The Prayer being brought back after a while (I don’t think it’s been sung since the ANJ tour) and I don’t necessarily like a Christmas song (even though River isn’t technically a Christmas song) being reused for the very next non-Christmas tour, I do vastly prefer River to The Prayer, and it has even more special meaning because it’s my mum’s favourite CW song. But although Joni Mitchell is a legend, it does seem a bit excessive to change the setlist in every single show in her home country. I do get the town one, though. But I also feel that Both Sides Now might have been more fitting, especially as I’m pretty sure that’s Mitchell’s most famous song and Mairéad was absolutely stunning in performing it. I also wish Mairéad could’ve been given both to sing, although that might be unfair to Muirgen (then just give her another! 😭).
But I have been unable to attend any shows this tour, so those who attended will have a better frame of reference than myself. Does Kate accompany Mairéad on River since there’s no orchestra?

I really like The Prayer in general, no matter who sings it (Josh Groban, Bocelli, etc).
On top of that I really like Mairead when she goes full opera mode. I did post in another thread that I told her I'm glad she brought "Opera Mairead" with her. She said in 3rd person, that "she" only came for one note. And that note was in The Prayer.
