Any Clannad Fans Here?

Just curious as Clannad is my favourite band and I’ve recently become obsessed with them. I love their folk songs especially, though their later new age material is wonderful as well! Moya Brennan is my second favourite voice of all time! 

Celtic Woman has covered two Clannad songs, both of them Órla solos (which is quite fitting in my opinion), Harry’s Game (Celtic Woman), and Newgrange (A New Journey). The latter was also covered again on Ancient Land as a Mairéad C solo. There’s also some folk songs that have been covered by both Clannad and Celtic Woman, such as Téir Abhaile Riú and Níl Sé’n Lá.

Anyway, I’m just curious to see if anyone else is a fan of them because they’re probably the most popular Celtic band and they’re wonderful. Also, Moya Brennan apparently performed at The Letterkenny Pride Festival earlier this year, so that’s awesome! (slightly random, I know, but I just wanted to gush about that because I found out about it today and it’s incredible)

I started listening to their material when everyone was stuck at home, but there was an overwhelming amount of content at that time and it was hard to keep up.

I started listening again before Éabha's Celtic World Forum in 2024 in prep for Moya's presence, but ran out of time.

I can't catch up during the holidays as I'm basically working every day this year. 🤣
