I know this is a carbon copy of a post I made the last two years but it's the time of year that I ask it.
I’m wondering when we think we’ll get an official announcement.
Looking at the past.
2006: Can’t find a lot. Some seemed to go on sale between August’05 and January ‘06.
2007: Announced 12/4/06. Earliest on sale ca. December 8/9, 2006. Might've been a few at a time on that one???
2008: Announced 11/26/07. Must’ve been spread out December ‘07-February ‘08.
2009: Announced November 2008. Everything through Mother’s Day went on sale 11/21 and 12/15/08. The latter half in March ‘09.
2010: Announced 12/3/09. On sale 12/14/09 (some before).
2011: Announced 11/29/10 (close to the announcement introducing Lisa L). On sale 12/10/10 (some before and at least one after).
2012: Announced 12/12/11. On sale 12/16.
2013: Many dates went on sale in June 2012. October 12, 2012 was the large on sale date. Minneapolis MN went on sale on December 7. Some later dates went on sale right before the tour started.
2014: Announced 10/1/13. Many dates on sale 11/8/13.
2015: Announced 9/2/14. On sale 9/17/14.
2016: Announced 11/2/15. Large on sale date 11/16/15.
2017: Announced 9/26/16. Most dates on sale 10/5/16 (at least one on 10/3).
2018: Announced 10/4/17. On sale 10/13/17.
2019: announced 10/17/18. Most dates on  sale 10/24/18.
2020: Announced 10/2/19. On sale 10/18/19 (those shows that could happen)..
2022: Most dates were ported over from 2020. New dates went on sale in April & September 2021.
2024: Announced 9/26/23. On sale 9/29/23 (some date were later -- Minneapolis was not announced until 11/27 and went on sale 12/1).
The days of the week this year are just like they were when Emerald and the aborted 15 year anniversary tour were about to be announced.
The days of the week in the new year are the same as they were for most of year 2 of A New Journey (which was in a leap year) & Emerald.
I wonder if announcement will be
*10/2
or
*10/9
or
*10/16.
then on sale will be
*10/4
or
*10/11
or
*Wed 10/16 -- for sure the first leg for X, some VoA dates and Ancient Land went on sale on Wednesdays.
or
*10/18
or
*Monday 10/21
or
*Wed 10/23 -- this was the week Ancient Land went on sale.
Or
*10/25.
or
*Monday 10/28.
Or will they be late and go after the US presidential election.
11/11 on sale 11/15 or Mon 11/18.
11/18 on sale 11/22 or Mon 11/25.
11/25 on sale 11/29 (that was the on sale date for the cancelled 15 year tour show in Minneapolis) or Mon 12/2.
Knowing it's uncertain about if they even will tour I have a feeling that whatever they do do tour wise if they do tour in the new year may be more performances of 20 -- they have only done the one North American leg and I assume they want to take 20 elsewhere given that they didn't get to do the 15th anniversary tour elsewhere (10 was Europe in January--February 2015 then North America from March-June then a summer rest then down under then back to North America for the duration of October then back to the UK to finish up in November). I have not seen anything on their instas showing a stack of sheet music/any one or two of them in the studio standing at a mic so is it safe to assume they may not have been recording this summer which is why I'm feeling like next year maybe more legs of the 20 tour.

Hmm. Yeah, there hasn't been any news or clues on FB or IG. I'm starting to think like you that they might do the 20th tour in more places. That's a lot of "mileage" from one set of songs, isn't it? Three years? 2023 = recording; 2024 = tour US; 2025 = tour other countries.

Every now & then, I try to find any new venue bookings in Europe, UK, Asia, etc. No luck so far.

Yeah. All they have done is the US tour and usually they do more in a given year.

I'm starting to think if there will be a tour in 2025. I haven't seen them post pushing their website for 2025 Tour dates. Could they be focusing on the Symphony Tour right now with Emma being on leave until she returns? Are they unsure when she'll return if there's someone to sub in for a Tour in 2025? Were the dates posted on the venue websites posted early and they were just hold dates to reserve the venue until Tour plans are finalize?

What are your thoughts?

Did they say if the Europe tour will be 20 or a different show??
We’d think there’s still a leg or two left to do of 20 before anything else.
Do we think??
- Feb—June: EU tour.
- Summer: new recording.
- Fall: US tour (probably last leg of 20).

They often post venue dates while the current year tour is still going on but often as it’s coming to a close
Is it possible that Emma doesn’t return until the next time they record?? Wonder if Europe would be Mairead/Muirgen/Lisa/Tara???

I thought I saw that Lisa was doing a show somewhere in Ireland in maybe March (I know, I'm being vague because I'm not going back to look).  When I saw that, I kinda thought that seeing Lisa on the Christmas tour was a one off.  If she's doing something in, say March, does that give her enough time to practice?

I also think Lisa L stint for the Christmas tour was a one time thing. She has a bunch of shows lined up for the spring and summer, so I don't think she's coming back
