Yes, I think of those and Carrickfergus.

But since Meav sang a new song for the 20th that she sang on her own previously, I was trying to think of a similar song for Orla. I like Red Is The Rose, which Mairead added later as a single. So that would have brought the whole thing full circle.

That’s an interesting thought. I thought Méav got an original solo because she’s collaborated with CW so much over the years. Also, her most well known solos, Danny Boy and Dúlamán, were turned into group songs, and maybe they didn’t think her other ones would match the album’s theme (though She Moved Through The Fair would have…).

If she did sing Red Is The Rose, I wonder if we’d still get a Mairéad solo for the 20th anniversary. Maybe we could get her version of it alongside Muirgen’s rendition of Caledonia? Then we could get five singles with a solo of each member and the group performance of Spanish Lady.

My guess has to why Meav sang a new song, which BTW best thing ever because it's become my favorite lullaby, but makes me wonder is because Dulaman was already done as a group opening and Danny Boy remains a group song. She could of done Si Do Mahieimi but she already done it on Destiny.

I would think for Orla having a song featuring her playing the Harp would absolutely be a must!

As much as Lisa Kelly did fine given Caledonia, I feel the impact would have made it extra more special if she did Fields of Gold again because many years have passed since those summer days as we walked in Fields of Gold, oh we'll walk in as a salute to on going new lineups.
The Blessing would of been another great one. If you feel as I do about Caledonia, I would love to hear your opinion takes, was it the best selection.  :)

I actually LOVE the song selection for Lisa Kelly, in terms of the meaning. The song is about returning home. It reminds me of Lisa's return home to CW, since she left for such a long time and reportedly said she would never come back. Here is the chorus.

Let me tell you that I love you
and I think about you all the time
Caledonia you're calling me
and I'm going home
But if I should become a stranger
you know that it would make me more than sad
Caledonia's been everything I've ever had

My guess would be that Lisa did Caledonia because that and The Voice are considered her most iconic solos, and she might not have been able to sing The Voice with her damaged vocal cords. (Is it cords or chords?) Chloë and Máiréad also did what might be considered their most iconic solos, When You Believe and Granuaile’s Dance.

You are absolutely totally right ✅️,  it makes totally sense now and it's an original Celtic Woman favorite. I suppose my thoughts and feelings were because I have far more favorite Lisa Kelly CW songs than Caledonia.

Stars at dawn made an absolute made sense guess that if it not been for Lisa's singing issues that she would of sang The Voice which is the most p popular Celtic Woman songs and solo from Lisa aside from Caledonia. 👍
