@GlenS

Do you know or get the feeling if they will add a second leg to the tour (e.g. May or Fall)?

 ;)

It’s possible that they might do this Spring tour in North America and go international in Autumn.

The Spring Tour is relatively short. Doing a Fall international tour does sound reasonable. I think they haven't toured Europe in a long time, and a lot of fans there have been asking about it.

@CWazyTom: Thanks for updating the Calendar!

I hope they do go international and release a long album along with it. Celtic Woman in the past few years (really since COVID, I feel) has been more low-key, only touring in North America and releasing fewer, shorter albums. The title of “A New Era” gives me hope that we’re going back to the grandiose Celtic Woman days, like in the David Downes era.

I went ahead and bought tickets for the March 25th show in Clearwater, FL.  Have seen the girls there before a couple of times; mostly via PBS tickets.

So, since I am not a member of the venue, I couldn't buy tickets until Friday.  I was able to get tickets in Row J.  Most of the closer seats required you to become a member, with, of course, an additional fee.  I the tickets (2) were $92 each.

As I was checking out, I had the option to purchase a M&G.  OK, what the heck. Paragraph of you get a photo, opportunity to talk the the girls (not holding my breath), etc.  They wanted $100 a person.

So after you add State Sales Tax, "Tourist" Tax, and a Service Charge, 2 tickets with M&G cost me just under $450!  I've paid this much in the past, but it was for better seats, plus I could sometimes get a tax credit for a donation to PBS.

In the past I have gone to 10 to 12 shows a year.  I know this is a short tour right now, so we shall see how I feel after seeing this show.

10-12 shows a year?! I admire your dedication.

I should probably get started on nagging my mother for tickets (half joking on the nagging part, don’t worry 😭)…she seemed pretty excited when I told her about the Myrtle Beach concert, so hopefully she can get tickets for us as an early Christmas gift or something.

How do you become a member of a venue?

It is interesting how they are offering M&G on "normal" ticket sites now. Of course last Christmas, they had M&G on the official CW website. But aside from that, have they ever done non-PBS M&G like this? I wonder if we'll see any partnership with PBS on the Spring tour, especially since the there are not a lot of US dates.

dbbii knows a lot more than me. But from what I know you can become a member of a venue by subscribing to a season pass to all shows or selected shows, or just making a huge donation.

At a recent show (where I was with other CWF members btw), some staff told us CW were at a M&G after the concert. There were none publicly offered. So we assumed it was for members or donors.
