If this is true I would be sad. She did a great job when I saw her this tour. I wish she would have stayed on with CW. Who are they going to have as a fiddle player now mid-tour?

Wow. The thought of that is…oddly terrifying. Kate’s a pretty great violinist. And it’s weird to think that she’d be gone so soon.

Now, it is entirely possible that she just worded this post oddly and she really is just speaking of the end of this tour. There’s only one show left. But it is really worded strangely.

My first thought would be that Tara would be coming back, but both her Instagram bio and her website say she left in 2025. But it would be rather strange to have another brand new violinist so early after the previous one joined. Ciara was already rather odd, her and Kate is bizarre. That makes me think Kate is staying. I don’t think it would be very good for CW if we lost three violinists in less than a year.

I read this as this tour is ending and there's no plan for another tour/recording right now.  My guess is CW needs to analyze where they are financially and see where they go from here.  I only went to one show this year, and it wasn't full.  Are they reevaluating?

Here is my two cents, (or really just one cent).😃 I don't think Kate ever planned to stay for long. If you look at her original video announcing her joining CW, at the end she says something like, "I have wanted this gig for a long time and am so excited." To me, "gig" implies a temporary job, not a permanent placement. She also never added Celtic Woman to her jobs on her bio on Facebook. Anyway, perhaps I am reading too much into it?

I would be heartbroken if they put CW out to pasture. It has been a big part of many people's lives over the years, myself included.

I would assume to guess Kate would stay for at least one recording. Now if that possibility is not in the picture for say one whole year much like when Mairead C left the group in 2020 then it's not surprising. Perhaps Kate knows that the slot she filled was originally for Ciara. Do we know if there's not a possibility of Ciara taking back the role after her tour endeavors with the other group, that be if needed like Kate leaving.

I also agree that I never saw Kate staying for long, more so because she has loads of her own ventures such as her wedding/event planning business which I’m sure takes up a lot of her time. Ciara was also just a “stand in” or “guest” from the beginning since she never planned to switch from Biird to Cw full time so we’ll see what time brings us! 🥰
