The Voice is arguably one of Celtic Woman’s most iconic solos, so it would make sense for them to redo it with one of their newer members!

For context, this was originally performed by Lisa K on A New Journey and later done by Alex when she covered for Lisa K in 2008’s tour and Susan on Emerald and Homecoming.

This one was quite difficult for me to decide on, as I don’t think anyone would be able to match Lisa’s majesty in her rendition (although both Alex and Susan were incredible), but I think I narrowed it down to either Murigen or Mairéad, which would probably be a lot more impressive if there were more than three options to choose from.

Mairéad matches Lisa’s range better, and she can vocalise strongly, such as in County Down, but I think I would prefer Muirgen. Her voice is a lot more different from Lisa K, Alex, and Susan, but she has one of the most powerful voices CW has seen. Personally, although I love all of their vocalists, none of them have been able to move me the way Muirgen has. Her emotive voice and lower range would also provide a more unique approach to the song.
