Basically what the title says. I’m assuming that posts about the 2025 singles go in this thread as I’ve seen two others about them on here.

Personally, I’m going with Spancil Hill as my favourite. Emma’s voice is beautiful and I just love the song. I do wish they’d included the last verse in the traditional song version (although I believe the song originally has many more verses, it’s just condensed on more popular versions such as those by The Dubliners and The Wolfe Tones).

All of the singles were amazing, though, and it was lovely to hear new music!  ;D

I like Red Is the Rose. I esp like the part where Mairead is singing but not singing, e.g. at the very beginning.

Off topic. Is that called 'lilting'?

It is called lilting! It was originally formed as a way to accompany dancing when instruments weren’t available.

I agree, Red Is The Rose is a good song, and Mairéad’s voice sounds especially wonderful in it.

Just listened to this song for the very first time! It’s interesting because this technique would seem fit for Orla or Alex.
