I’m new to the fandom, please forgive me!

Hello!  ;D

I’m Áine (not my actual name but what I go by), and I’ve been a fan of Celtic Woman for a little over a year now, although I only got truly fandom brainrotted recently.

I know most people on here have been fans since the 2004 PBS special and have been to many concerts and have every DVD, but unfortunately, I am not yet at that level. I wasn’t even born yet when the band was founded! As of now, I haven’t gotten to go to any concerts (a combination of me not being able to drive, my family, and most concerts being far away), and I don’t have any of the DVDs (although this could change soon—my birthday’s in 15 days!  ;))

My favourite member is Órla, there’s just something so ethereally angelic about her! I love her voice and harp-playing!  :D
My favourite song of theirs is either Danny Boy, The Voice, or Isle Of Innisfree. Danny Boy never fails to make me cry, The Voice is purely magnificent, and Isle Of Innisfree is wonderfully written!

I’m glad that this forum exists and intend on making many a post on here!  ;) Again, I’m new to the fandom and don’t have any concert experiences or DVDs, so I hope ye will forgive me if I’m missing anything on my posts.  :)

Glad to see new members!

I'm one of those people who started following CW in 2004.  I was lucky that my job allowed me the flexibility to go to a lot of shows.  If you count the individual shows, I'm something over 100.  One reason for this is in the "early days" you had the opportunity to meet the girls and actually talk to them for a couple minutes.  I have lots of photos, autographs, and memories that you just can't get anymore.

Welcome Aine! I am enjoying your posts already.

This forum is great. It allows people to have deeper discussions than quick posting on social media. I've also met some people from here in person at CW concerts.

I also like Orla Fallon a lot. She has such a soft, gentle voice. Her solo albums are very good too. They will not disappoint if you like CW.

Don't worry about how long you've been a fan. I didn't know anything when I joined here. I learned a lot and got to meet a lot of the CW ladies from what I learned on here, e.g. Meet & Greets, etc.

Thank you! I’ve loved the forum so far.  :D

I have listened to a lot of Órla’s solo work, and it’s incredible! I especially love her renditions of Carrickfergus and Cad É Sin Don Te Sin from her album The Water Is Wide. My Land has some bangers as well.

Welcome newcommer Friend  :) <3

Your posts have been very fun, and we can absolutely relate to the fandom brainrotted or CW rotted  8) ;D

You are starting your Celtic Woman in you’re LIFE journey as we all have!

Cherish this time because it’s truly special when you know you’ve instantly fallen in love in you’re heart.

I feel blessed that practically all the original members up until Mairead Carlin came to my little small town city and I had the opportunity to experience Celtic Woman at it’s worldwide phenomenon rising and able to see the original members perform. Alex and Lynn although was sad at first that Meav left it all changed and these two have become my favorite of mine because they had to find their way just like I was trying to find my way of knowing who am I in while high school and being a teenager one year younger than Chloe. ;D

I saw the birthday list on the bottom of the forum. So...
Happy Birthday!!!  ;D  ;D  ;D

Did you treat yourself to anything from CW?
