Some of the earlier tours were around 4 months long. That's gotta be brutal. A different bed every night. What do you do for meals? And at some point you have to miss your family. Plus, you have to be "on" every night. (ok, they do have days off, but...). So, on some level I'm impressed that the girls stuck it out as long as they did.
There's a post that talks about the issues that Shannon Brown ran into, at least with Celtic Thunder. Article claims the "company" lost something like 2.7 million pounds. Is the current production company making money? Going back, say prior to COVID, most of the shows I went to were pretty full. Lately, not so much.
Do I want this to end? NO. But if it does, I have a bunch of great memories.
Casual fans that ask about the constant line up changes seem to forget that CW is similar to Riverdance in that they’re a touring show, not a regular band. Being on the road for half the year can take its toll on you.

Could Mairead be leaving again to spend more time with her family and Ronan? She has been a part of CW for a long time.
Maybe she wants a break from touring for a while

Has anyone caught the full lyrics of this version yet? I heard it's on the the New Era setlist

Can I add with the cost of everything going up, people might not be able to travel farther for shows.
That and Ticketmaster, which a lot of venues use, has made going to shows less fun with their obnoxious fees.

Does the lack of funding mean they can’t afford to air anymore CW TV specials?
The NY show was just canceled due to low ticket sales. Lack of exposure might be a factor

This has been probably been mentioned before but Caitriona knew a few of the ladies before joining CW. She also performed at Eabha's Celtic forum if I'm not mistaken

This makes me worry in a way with this most recent move.
I feel they are rushing too much with replacing members. According to Wikipedia, 2 members had come on board recently and now Ciara is gone. She was only on for a few months if even that.
If they keep doing this, I feel Celtic Woman is on a slippery slope which they might not recover from.
Thanks for coming to my TEDTalk.
I started previously that Ciara could have wanted to be a permanent member, but juggling BIIRD and CW might be a bit much. She might have realized that recently, hence the announcement of Kate

My theory is maybe Ciara would have wanted to be a permanent member, but juggling BIIRD and CW would have been a much

I think someone close to her posted that she already had something booked.
Oh, okay! That makes sense…I wonder what it was? Thank you! Do you know who said this?
On CW announcement on FB, someone commented that she already had something planned and couldn't attend
