Her May It Be left me Speechless. She can certainly bring that aura touch Eabha brought to CW!

Unfortunately the duet version wasn't recorded on a DVD, a Special, nor album. Instead, Emerald has Chloe and Lisa Lambe doing a duet version of "She Moved Through the Fair". It was so cool hearing Lynn take on another Meav song!!!!

I guess if we are going with DVD/Album my favorite would be the Destiny version. I loved Deirdre on that song! 🙂

I wasn’t sure about the Emerald duet version, hence why I added the question mark. I’d seen conflicting comments about it online, but I probably should have known that it wasn’t on there given the lack of YouTube clips and it not being listed as a bonus track on Wikipedia. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up!

I’m assuming the mentions of Lynn and Deirdre are in reference to old concert versions?

Conflicting comments for that duet 🤔...never seen

Lynn did it when she joined the Emerald Tour taking spot over for Lisa Lambe and did it again during her participation during the 10th Anniversary Tour!

Deirdre was during when she filled in for Meav during the Celtic Woman World Tour in 2005!  You can find a clip of her performing it on YouTube from a longer recording.

I love the version on The Voice’s of Angel’s Album, not so much Homecoming from it’s Live Stereo.
Chloe made this song so much life and new energy just moving to it!

Your idea sounds like a lot of fun and very creative for us CW nerds! ;D Polls be fun for us to participate or comment on a thread!

3 Votes, a choice for the Classic version, second version. Third vote is up to you as another favorite or else 20th is different.

I love all three for different reasons, but my pick is the original it’s the original performance and the type of ceili song that includes Chloe!  :P The Emerald version has really fast paced dance choreography which to me is the beginning start where dancing choreography is starting to be a crucial element to Celtic Woman uh-oh :P!!
Voice’s of Angel’s version on tour has really beautiful choreography such a rare find in video footage if you do capture it!*

I haven't listened to it entirely but just from the preview I can't help but not listen to it without pretending Lisa Lambe is on it. Either I'm crazy that it sounds exactly as with her or they lowered the new members volume. It's like when they released May it Be as a Susan solo in the part where Mairead Carlin would of done the soaring harmony it's almost as if they applied it but in lower volume otherwise a background singer did it but lightly!

It's so hard when a new song is debut with another member and then released and recorded with others! Other notable times I felt the same way was Alex and or with Lynn song(s) recorded with Lisa L and Lisa K instead, or Megan instead of Susan at first!

New Members / Re: Hello from a new member!!!

Welcome newcommer Friend  :) <3

Your posts have been very fun, and we can absolutely relate to the fandom brainrotted or CW rotted  8) ;D

You are starting your Celtic Woman in you’re LIFE journey as we all have!

Cherish this time because it’s truly special when you know you’ve instantly fallen in love in you’re heart.

I feel blessed that practically all the original members up until Mairead Carlin came to my little small town city and I had the opportunity to experience Celtic Woman at it’s worldwide phenomenon rising and able to see the original members perform. Alex and Lynn although was sad at first that Meav left it all changed and these two have become my favorite of mine because they had to find their way just like I was trying to find my way of knowing who am I in while high school and being a teenager one year younger than Chloe. ;D

Eabha would of knocked us out ;D if she did May it Be or Harry’s Game instead of Siuil a Run!  :o

I would like to add that I do Love very much the Lisa Kelly version and would say that’s my favorite if aside from Orla.

There’s a Lisa Kelly version of Siúil A Rún?

https://youtu.be/sZiaZKRcu-c?si=zyazuaafS2jchngV  ;)

Thank you so much!! She sounds incredible!  :D (she also sounds a lot like Connie Dover—here’s her version https://youtu.be/KZeDF9qBz4M?si=x3lLhGPB9873mK81). I just added this to my playlist! (which is actually the eighth version of the song on there 😭)

It’s interesting how they used the same version as Órla used in the original! I wonder if they’d considered the song for her originally or if they just wanted to use the same version and I’m looking too far into things.

It’s my absolute pleasure <3 it’s a pure joy to share any extra version that you may not known about.
Probably we can ask CwazyTom about the individual albums. Maybe David went with Orla for Celtic Woman but still liked Lisa’s too so idk maybe he let her take it on her solo CD. The Voice was originally for Meav but then he loved Lisa’s take is all I know.

People will love the classic and I love the Emerald Gems as the most powerful but I’m a fan of everything Postcards From Ireland Tour why? the choreography was the hands down the best of the best actually Celebration Tour was even better because it had some bits that got modified during Postcards from Ireland. It’s not surprising the best performances are during tours that aren’t recorded such as Isle of Hope Tour and 10th Anniversary Tour and Voice’s of Angels as examples. The Voice’s of Angel’s Nil Sen La was never DVD or visually recorded but the most beautiful choreography what a missed opportunity!

The new arrangement 2016 with Meav is far superior than with Mairead C to me but because 20th Anniversary is basically both of them together doing it and Meav performing it on a Special makes it finally and a Dream Come True! 8)* :P

I really love Mairead's version bc she makes it sound like so much fun on the Homecoming recording. And I love the "intro" to Lisa's version.

But there was so much meaning to the 20th version. Meav's return, and the symbolic nature of the choreography (i.e. everyone giving center stage to Meav on "her" song). So I voted for the 20th.

I agree on the 20th anniversary one! I also like how they had Méav sing the rearranged version first in Voices Of Angels. It felt as though they had to ask her permission to change it because she’d performed it so well.

Meav was a musical director during that time and it was automatically made a new version because all the Celtic Woman songs were needing to be arranged differently!
