Oh my god. I suppose congratulations must be in order.
How far along would she be by Christmas? There’s a slim chance that she might still be able to go. Susan toured up till she was around six months pregnant, right?
I hope she’ll still stay with CW…but we’ve lost Emma and Tara for the same reason as well. I do wonder if maybe it’s to do with CW management not being able to provide accommodations for an infant on tour. But Mairéad just announced a new single early next year, so she’ll still maintain her solo career. Obviously, what’s most important is her happiness and health, but I am afraid this could mean another lineup change for CW.
I mean i highly doubt she’ll be on this next tour, she took all references to cw out of her bios about four months ago. I take it that is when she officially left, but I’m just glad we got to have her back for about three more years after she had originally left before postcards.
I noticed this as well. I also think that's why none of the ladies posted about the Christmas tour yet. It would look odd if only 3 of the 4 re-posted the Christmas tour promos. I am guessing they are waiting to see if she will be on the Christmas tour (wishful thinking) or who her replacement will be. Please let it be a former CW, like Emma.
I am also glad she came back after her first break from CW. I am super thankful I got to meet her in person.
I’m really hoping we get Chloë back at least for a tour, kind of doubtful about if she would, but I just think that her voice would be amazing paired with Caitriona’s and Muirgen’s. I feel like it would sound a bit more like Postcards which of course is darling. 🥰 But a new member would also be lovely! Hopefully they announce it sooner than last year with announcing Caitriona and Ciara, I do prefer more timely updates, especially since I think that for a lot of people, deciding whether or not to go to the tours depends on who the members are, more so now that you might have to make a full trip out to see them.
If it's just for a temp 3-4 weeks for the Symphony tour, I'd love to see Susan.
I kind of like what you said earlier about Emma potentially rejoining…Méav was kind of the go-to replacement person for transitional periods for a while, and then it was Susan, so it would be interesting if Emma would be a sort of third-generation successor to that role. But it probably is more likely that Susan would take over if this was temporary. I would rather there be an old member returning than there be a new one, especially if it’s a temporary replacement. But it could also be nice to see some new talent, so I’m not opposed to someone new, change just frightens me.
I feel like them bringing back older members, even for temporary times, is also great for marketing since more people and casual fans would know them. Like back in 2024 with Lisa Lambe, they sold out at least one or a few of the shows. 😁

Aww what a Beautiful hidden Mickey..haha
In case you do want to catch it find the full concert video on youtube because just the clip of Over Rainbow ends right before it.
The version of the video they reposted on YouTube last year actually has it at the end! And here’s a link to Susan’s instagram post from when she was in the audience for the filming of Ancient Land https://www.instagram.com/p/BnyieKgHg8G/?igsh=aGRlOHA2cjJ3eDY0 🩷

Hey all! I was just wondering if anyone happened to have a link or some kind of a recording of Megan’s song “Maybe” it seems like it’s no longer on streaming and it hasn’t been since last year, I was just reminiscing about it and wondered if anyone had a way to listen to it? Much love 🫶

I looked through my cd of Nollaig from last year and the credits are also a bit confusing. Some of the songs list either Ciara or Tara, but some have no violinist listed at all. It’s also perplexing how Tara Howley is only credited on one song (The Bells of Dublin/Christmas Eve/Navan in the Snow), making it seem like she’s a special guest on the album (which she was), yet on the other side of the pamphlet it has a list of the members of cw (Mairéad, Muirġen, Caitrionas, Tara M, and Ciara) then it has the “special guest” listed as just Sibeal, and Tara Howley is credited as part of the band!
I always thought that The Bells Of Dublin/Christmas Eve/Navan In The Snow was meant to highlight Tara H rather than be the only song she's featured in, but that definitely is still weird that she only gets that one mention.
I think there are definitely some tracks that don't have a violinist. River is the one I know for certain, I remember that as being the only solo that didn't have Ciara backing at the show I went to. And I think they might have wanted to only credit the vocalists for the solos so they seemed more even. I think it's confirmed that Tara accompanied Muirgen for The Wexford Carol, but I'm uncertain about Don Oiche Ud i mBeithil (on computer). All I can say for certain is that Ciara accompanied Caitriona for the live version. I also wouldn't be surprised if Silver Bells was just the vocalists, but I can't remember how it was live and I'm too lazy to grab my CD from my room (in all fairness, I am supposed to be working ).
Also, I just now realised that there's an alternate universe where Tara Howley joins CW as a permanent member and we're left with another Lisa/Mairead situation on our hands. Tara McNeill also returns to CW in this universe for maximum confusion.
I went to the same concert, (Grand Prairie, right?) and I got loads of pictures and videos but they’re too hard to look through and see which ones have who playing since the security was real strict about filming and stuff.

Thanks AeFondAshley! Nice find! That's a good sign!
Did you find it on social media or on a concert/ venue website?
I saw it on the Colorado Symphony page. Someone had posted it on here a while ago, and I had kept that tab open, I reopened it this morning and saw that they had changed the image from one with Emma and Tara to this one! They had also changed it from just saying “Celtic Woman Christmas tour” or “Celtic Woman Symphony tour” to now saying the Silver bells tour!

I love that! Hopefully they’ll have some shows near me. Though I may not be able to go regardless, as hopefully I’ll get to go to a Loreena McKennitt concert in Canada and my mum might not let me go to multiple concerts. 😔
What songs do we think they’ll be performing? Silver Bells seems to be a given, but what else? I hope we can get Muirgen’s Dia Do Bheatha back.
Oh I need Muirgen’s Dia Do Bheatha on the set list, recorded, filmed, and stamped into my brain it is SO GOOD. And if I had to take a wild guess I’d say maybe Silver bells 😂. Hopefully we see The bells of Dublin/Christmas Eve/Navan in the snow come back! And Feliz Navidad would make me so happy but that’s a long shot.

It seems we’ve gotten an official banner for the tour, and I love that they’re calling it the “Silver Bells” tour.

I’ve seen things like that happen before and I’m always confused as to why? 😂, but I think my questions are more on the side of what songs they consider “duets” and which ones they consider solos. I see this mainly on 20, Tara and Meav are both credited for Lay Your Head Down, however Tara has the same level of involvement (in my opinion) on A Stór Mo Chroí and that’s considered Muirgen’s solo. So I wonder if they’re often mistakes made on the graphic design side of things or just a slightly odd way of categorizing the songs, though I have zero musical training so I don’t know if there’s actual differences between them.

I am sure she is going to think about it. But I don't think the message is that definitive. I'd probably be more concerned if she were thanking all the CW she's ever worked with.
I also think if CW were to end, they would certainly do a farewell tour. And that would certainly be weird to end CW after the New Era tour.
I can see them taking 2027 off. And Christmas shows in the meantime.
Like CWFella2011 said above, I am thankful for the shows I've seen, esp. traveling to see New Era away from my hometown area this year.
I agree, and I think I have to say that Máiréad’s post was the only one i think was “ominous”. Muirgen’s were the normal end-of-tour comments and so were Caitriona’s.Kate also posted a story saying her “1st spring tour” was done so I think her commitment to the group is a little rocky on whether she’s staying or going but nothing too doomsday-y.

Hi! Here is my two cents, (or really just one cent).😃 I don't think Kate ever planned to stay for long. If you look at her original video announcing her joining CW, at the end she says something like, "I have wanted this gig for a long time and am so excited." To me, "gig" implies a temporary job, not a permanent placement. She also never added Celtic Woman to her jobs on her bio on Facebook. Anyway, perhaps I am reading too much into it? Hope it all works out!! I agree it is bit concerning!

I also agree that I never saw Kate staying for long, more so because she has loads of her own ventures such as her wedding/event planning business which I’m sure takes up a lot of her time. Ciara was also just a “stand in” or “guest” from the beginning since she never planned to switch from Biird to Cw full time so we’ll see what time brings us! 🥰
