Susan is cast as the Snow Queen, which is the inspiration for Disney's Frozen of course. Bursting with talent, The Snow Queen cast will see Irish West End star and former Celtic Woman member, Susan McFadden and Fair City actor, Stephen O’Leary take to the panto stage in this magical production which runs from Friday, 21st November 2025 to Sunday, 11th January, 2026.
The Snow Queen will begin a seven-week run from Friday, 21st November 2025 to Sunday, 11th January, 2026. Tickets priced from €30 (plus booking fees) and are on sale now from www.thehelix.ie and at The Helix Box Office.

Here's an article about the show. And one random one about traveling. The Helix reveal the cast of ‘The Snow Queen’ this year’s Christmas panto!https://www.stirthejam.com/post/the-helix-reveal-the-cast-of-the-snow-queen-this-year-s-christmas-panto Me and My Travels: Susan McFadden on Dubai, Japan and Trabolganhttps://www.irishexaminer.com/lifestyle/travel/arid-41721732.html

From their FB page, a note to the rest of the country.
Please note: Stations outside of Southern California will air this on Thanksgiving.

Like you said in your "Best Song Version Part 1" post, this shouldn't be a happy song. It should have a more serious tone to it.  I can see Muirgen singing it, in the tone of "A Stór Mo Chroí" on the 20th. So I voted for her.

It may be a bit late to ask this, seeing as it’s been seven years since this album, but who wrote County Down? It wasn’t listed as one of the tracks Gavin Murphy wrote on Wikipedia, but there’s no mention of who did write it. I looked it up and got nothing. Did Mairéad write it herself?
I looked inside the CD booklet. Tommy Sands Elm Grove Music I love Ancient Land! I still watch a lot of the videos all the time.

CW is supposed to participate (IDK specifics) in a fundraiser (I think) for PBS. It will be shown on in SoCal in Nov and available on the PBS app later. It is related to the federal govt cutting funding for PBS.https://www.pbssocal.org/press-room/we-public-television PBS SoCal announced WE ❤️ PUBLIC TELEVISION! – a three-hour program recorded LIVE from PBS SoCal’s Burbank Studios featuring a star-studded cast honoring 55 remarkable years of public television - America’s trusted, free public media service that reaches every city, town and rural community across the nation. Talent featured (subject to change) includes music director Rickey Minor and appearances by Josh Groban, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ken Burns, Ziggy Marley, Lily Tomlin, Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Marlee Matlin, Noel Paul Stookey, Rick Steves, David Foster and Katharine McPhee, Adam Arkin, Courtney Vance, Martha Plimpton, Joe Bonamassa, Sheléa, Jesse Cook, Judy Blume, Celtic Woman, Sarah Silverman, Mychal the Librarian, Lindsey Stirling and many more. The telethon will include three special performances from the Nashville PBS studios featuring Kathy Mattea, Sierra Hull, Molly Tuttle and Ketch Secor. This program celebrates the extraordinary musical artists and personalities who have graced PBS stages and screens, showcasing the cultural richness that public media and local PBS stations offer all Americans. I know most people on here have been fans since the 2004 PBS special and have been to many concerts and have every DVD, but unfortunately, I am not yet at that level. I wasn’t even born yet when the band was founded! As of now, I haven’t gotten to go to any concerts (a combination of me not being able to drive, my family, and most concerts being far away), and I don’t have any of the DVDs (although this could change soon—my birthday’s in 15 days!
  )

I saw the birthday list on the bottom of the forum. So... Happy Birthday!!!        Did you treat yourself to anything from CW?

I didn't vote yet. But I did want to say:- I agree w/ you about Orla's version. It is very good & yet very simple.
 - I actually prefer Celtic Thunder's version(s) of this song over Celtic Woman's. It has more of a fitting military feel to it, and constant drone of the pipes.

That's a neat idea for your next posts!

I am also surprised there is not more mention of Loreena McKennitt on here.
Nights from the Alhambra is still played occasionally on my local PBS. Just on that that album alone, there are these CW songs:
 - She Moved Through the Fair
 - Bonny Portmore
 - Raglan Road (same tune as Dawning of the Day)

That is nice to know she is your fav musician! Have you ever seen her in person?

I have not been able to, alas! I was supposed to be able to go to her Christmas concert Under A Winter’s Moon this year, but couldn’t get tickets due to extenuating circumstances. Hopefully I’ll be able to attend something in the future.

You seem to have listened to her before, I’m curious, what’s your favourite song of hers?

Well, I have limited knowledge. Just what pops up on streaming radio. So far, I like The Mummers’ Dance and The Highwayman. If you have a suggestion for either a playlist or specific album, that might help narrow down where to start listening. She has a big catalog of music!

Songs from the Heart is definitely my fav. Iconic night time castle setting, Anto Byrne on the roof, etc.

This song is a group performance on the DVD versions, but more of a solo on the original album version.
I think I know. But I feel like I cheated because I read it in a post recently. Not sure I would have thought of it otherwise. So let's see if anyone else wants to answer first.
