Title: Caribbean Blue (New Single)
Post by: stars_at_dawn on October 24, 2026, 07:09:37 PM
Another single was released yesterday, a cover of Enya’s Caribbean Blue, which most of ye have probably heard even if you didn’t realise it.

I personally liked it! It’s a bit more synth-heavy compared to the other Enya songs CW has covered, which is a bit of a challenge for an act that doesn’t use any electronic instruments—not even electric guitars! CW made up for the synths with heavy orchestral backing, acoustic guitar, and some wonderful fiddle work from Kate.

I can’t tell if Mairéad’s on this or Eiméar. It sounds different from Jolene, so it may be Eiméar…the only solo line is from Caitríona in the beginning, the rest is all three together. But I think it works in a sense to make up for the heavy vocal layering Enya uses. CW’s original cover of Orinoco Flow was very similar. And Kate’s fiddle is lovely.

As someone who isn't familar of the title of this song, first time seeing Caribbean Blue was like Caribbean Queen/a Bob Marley song  ??? ;D

You could vision yourself Mairéad somehow there, but then your mesmorized by the sheer blending of these three***! not saying Mairéad can't blend in but you hear like these three can make a similar tone blend. That is me saying in yet not knowing Eiméar's vocal potentiality within the group! ;D

It’s Eiméar on the song! She confirmed it in the video they posted and on her instagram story! 😁

I love it!

But every time they drop these singles, a small part of me is disappointed because I think they're gonna announce a new album and 2027 tour. Well hopefully that's coming too!

They captured the ethereal Enya vibe really well with this one.
