but then what makes Kate then ..  :P ?

We might have to wait to see more of her fiddling style. But my first inclination is that Kate might be a sorceress. Maybe Ciara was a court jester (which I realise might sound derogatory if one only knows the popular misconceptions about jesters, but jesters were actually quite powerful! They were some of the only people allowed to criticise the monarchs, and were also the ones entrusted to bear bad news to them!).
