And just like that, our North American tour has reached its final night. Newfoundland, thank you from the bottom of my heart..tonight is one I’ll never forget.
To the three courageous, strong women I’ve had the privilege of standing beside, thank you for your brilliance on stage and your friendship beyond it. Sharing this journey with you has meant more than words can say.
To our band and crew, thank you for everything you do. And to our wee Bill and Jodie, thank you for your endless warmth and wonderfulness.
And finally to my Stephanie, who I’ve been through thick and thin with, and makes me feel like a million dollars every night.
Fourteen years on, and as one chapter quietly closes, I carry every moment with deep gratitude.
Hopefully I formatted the quote correctly. But “as one chapter quietly closes”???? That sounds really ominous and not like a good sign for CW. Muirgen posted a similar message as well, but she tends to be more sentimental in her language. But those posts combined with the Kate speculation has me worried. Moya Brennan just died, I can’t take something happening to CW as well. My mental health is already practically nonexistent.
What do we think this means? Am I being too overdramatic? (Please tell me I am)

Could Mairead be leaving again to spend more time with her family and Ronan? She has been a part of CW for a long time.
Maybe she wants a break from touring for a while

I would be heartbroken if CW ceased to exist. I've met some of the most awesome people (online) because of them and they are one of the best artists that I have ever supported.
I hope whoever in CW management can fix the situation before it is too late. I don't want CW to die.

That’s fair. I hadn’t considered it might just be Mairéad leaving because of all the buzz surrounding Kate. But Kate referred to this tour as her and Caitríona’s first spring tour in a post, and unless she and Caitríona are starting a spinoff band, that sounds like they’re both staying for a while.
Mairéad did say that “something is coming” in a fairly recent post, and she’s releasing a solo album soon. Maybe she wants to go back to pursue a solo career.

Hopefully just grateful for the opportunity looking forward to what’s next. Wonder if they’ll take a break and then record sometime this summer

I am sure she is going to think about it. But I don't think the message is that definitive. I'd probably be more concerned if she were thanking all the CW she's ever worked with.
I also think if CW were to end, they would certainly do a farewell tour. And that would certainly be weird to end CW after the New Era tour.
I can see them taking 2027 off. And Christmas shows in the meantime.
Like CWFella2011 said above, I am thankful for the shows I've seen, esp. traveling to see New Era away from my hometown area this year.

I agree, and I think I have to say that Máiréad’s post was the only one i think was “ominous”. Muirgen’s were the normal end-of-tour comments and so were Caitriona’s.Kate also posted a story saying her “1st spring tour” was done so I think her commitment to the group is a little rocky on whether she’s staying or going but nothing too doomsday-y.
