Personally, I don’t think anyone could compare to the Lisa Kelly version. Her voice is sheer, ethereal majesty!
However, I think both Susan and Alex have good approaches to the song. Alex’s voice is very unique and more emotive, especially when she sings “Give me your peace and my wounds, they will heal”, and Susan’s musical-theatre style makes it feel like a fantasy film! I also like the Gavin Murphy arrangements with her voice, it makes me think of Dungeons And Dragons.
Here’s the Alex version:

Here’s Alex singing The Homecoming/Voices of Angels version!

Here’s a chance to hear Meav take on it, originally the song was to be given for her I read.
I had the rare lucky chance to hear Lynn do it and her version was so warm and pure it in heart, there isn’t
any found clip but you can hear her on Caranua’s version.

I like how you described the aspect both brought.

Thank you so much for sharing them!!! :D
Méav sounds absolutely enchanting and her voice definitely brings a more unique tone to the song!! Alex is lovely in the Homecoming clip as well, her voice has only gotten stronger over the years!

Did you catch what Alex said about The Voice recently on FB?
https://www.facebook.com/AlexSharpeOfficial/videos/going-through-the-archives-today-and-found-this-footage-that-was-so-generously-s/3732124230255044/
Going through the archives today and found this footage that was so generously shared with me by @chriskissingerla from my first CELTIC WOMAN tour in 2008 at the GREEK THEATRE LA.
Singing ‘The Voice’ each night gave me anxiety, it was deceptively hard but by the end of the tour I’d built enough stamina and vocal agility to feel more relaxed and confident. Never underestimate the value of repetition and the how the voice can adapt.
Good times and great opportunities with @celticwomanofficial.
