Title: Best Song Version Part 4: Níl Sé’n Lá

NOTE: please keep in mind for all of these that I don’t have any of the DVDs (yet) and haven’t been to any concerts (yet) so although there’s probably some special version they did with Alex, Muirgen, Hayley, and Mairéad Z (the secret lost member only the real fans know about), I’m going off of somewhat limited experience and these are the only versions I know of so far.

My personal favourite is the Emerald version. Máiréad’s fiddle is absolutely incredible, especially the drop (the one that was originally a bass solo in Songs From The Heart) with the scratches. I also love the Voices Of Angels version, but I’m not too fond of them changing everything to English. And of course, Songs From The Heart is a classic, especially with the drum introduction.

I love all three for different reasons, but my pick is the original it’s the original performance and the type of ceili song that includes Chloe!  :P The Emerald version has really fast paced dance choreography which to me is the beginning start where dancing choreography is starting to be a crucial element to Celtic Woman uh-oh :P!!
Voice’s of Angel’s version on tour has really beautiful choreography such a rare find in video footage if you do capture it!*
