NOTE: please keep in mind for all of these that I don’t have any of the DVDs (yet) and haven’t been to any concerts (yet) so although there’s probably some special version they did with Alex, Muirgen, Hayley, and Mairéad Z (the secret lost member only the real fans know about), I’m going off of somewhat limited experience and these are the only versions I know of so far.

This is the first one where I’m genuinely conflicted about which one I prefer. I should probably choose one of the solely Irish-language versions on principle, but I love the story that the original version tells. Máiréad Nesbitt’s fiddle solo is magnificent as well. I think that my favourite version is probably the version shown in the Emerald DVD (and available on YouTube, which is where I found it). The opening argument is incredible and Lisa, Chloë, and Susan are amazing actors.

People will love the classic and I love the Emerald Gems as the most powerful but I’m a fan of everything Postcards From Ireland Tour why? the choreography was the hands down the best of the best actually Celebration Tour was even better because it had some bits that got modified during Postcards from Ireland. It’s not surprising the best performances are during tours that aren’t recorded such as Isle of Hope Tour and 10th Anniversary Tour and Voice’s of Angels as examples. The Voice’s of Angel’s Nil Sen La was never DVD or visually recorded but the most beautiful choreography what a missed opportunity!

Yeah, this one is hard for me. They all are good in their own ways, and each one has something special.

EDIT: I have to go with Emerald. That one is iconic and probably one that everyone (even non-CW fans) are familiar with.
