Gregg just found the first Christmas Symphony show for this year that we know of! St. Louis on December 8th. Excited to start finding Christmas tour shows and making travel plans as this 20th Anniversary tour wraps up!

Wow. Christmas in May!
-
;D Nice find! Thanks! That seems like it's super early. But I just checked last year's official email came out on July 11. So that makes sense to see bookings in May & June.
-
Clicking on the link now, they changed the image and it now says White Christmas Symphony Tour - love that!
This actually is kind of late for our first Christmas show find of the year - we usually know at least a couple in March. Excited to keep finding more!

You're right. I looked at the posts from last year, and you were adding stuff in the calendar in March!
Look at this link. It looks up to date because Emma is included. But they call it "Home for Christmas".

Although I do think "White Christmas" is the latest.

The concerts that Tracie has found are interesting. It looks like they're trying to spread it around.
We discussed this last year. Like consider yourself lucky if the Christmas tour comes to your area.
dbbii posted a summary of tour stops around the 10th post of:

I also looked at CWazyTom's tour xls file. The last two years, there were 16-20 shows. So not a whole lot.
-
I think your 16 to 20 shows is probably accurate. They aren't going to start until after Thanksgiving, and want to finish a day or so before Crhristmas to get everyone home. Plus the travel may take an extra day or two since typically they go cross country, and they will finish up in Atlanta, which is what happened in 2023.
Chances are I will now have to go to Atlanta, since I'm guessing they won't hit Florida. Oh well, maybe Chloe will be in Atlanta at the same time?

Received an email today from the Colorado Symphony, announcing it's 2024/25 Season. It includes a Celtic Woman: White Christmas Symphony Tour Concert on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Boettcher Hall, in Denver CO.
Tickets appear to be on sale now. Here's a link to the concert listing on the Colorado Symphony's website:

Yes that was a surprise.
Anyone lucky enough to have a show near them?
It makes me appreciate last year when there were two shows within 5 minutes of my home.
-
PS. Did you guys know some casino shows are 21 and older, and some are not?
Hmm. That doesn't help as my daughter usually comes along, and the date for the one near me doesn't help either.
-
They are coming nowhere even remotely near me, but that's certainly not stopping me. Let the travel planning begin! I did see the 21+ listed on some as I entered them to the calendar. I know on at least one it then also said children could come with adult supervision. I just looked at the one in SoCal since that would be the one you're looking at and unfortunately that one does specify even as a FAQ that everybody must be 21+. That's so sad, I frequently see kids enjoying Celtic Woman shows and know your daughter loves it.

They are coming nowhere even remotely near me,
This is nothing uncommon, but man Florida must be going thru withdrawals with no shows there at all and you know I think this tour was the smallest show count with only 78 shows if I remember right the show count has been in the mid 80's to low 90's
-
Is there a presale code?
Did CW send out an email or post on social media?

Florida in regarding to Symphony Tours..
I don't recall Florida ever having one or else it's how I see it because as a Floridian
never is there a chance for me to have a close chance at attending a Symphony show yet less a regular Celtic Woman
show.

I got emailed a presale code from Atlanta Symphony, which is VIOLIN. I don't know if that code will work for anything other than Atlanta though.

Ok thanks. I tried that and a couple other good guesses. No luck so far.
I'm not even 100% sure I'm going. I first wanted to see how good the seats are since the casinos reserve the best seats for the high rollers.
-
If you tried for tix today, did you get what you wanted?
It was so frustrating. Every time I put 2 tix in my cart, it would say my seats were unavailable. I continued this process until I didn't like the seats I was putting in the cart. So I didn't buy any tix yet. Now I am considering buying the good seats from a ticket broker, or ask PBS if they will have tix. ::)

I ended up buying some "OK" tix, rather than wait. The ticket brokers are selling the $75 tix I was trying to get for around $125 right now.

So decided I wanted to go to a Christmas show. Decided to go to Washington DC. Spend an extra day or so and see the Christmas decorations, etc. Did this in NYC years ago and thought it was great. DC works better timing wise this year.
So found 2 tickets in second row (my daughter and I). OK, lets see if I can get a M&G since there are 3 shows in DC. Yes. Get on website, enter the info and am told my credit card is declined. What the heck? Call bank. I use a fairly small bank where a live person answers the phone!! OK, their fraud department (probably AI) flagged my charge as a fraud, since payment goes to Ireland. Got that cleared up and re-entered the info and got the M&G.
Went to Kennedy Center website and got the tickets as well.
So now to find a hotel and plane flight. This is not going to be a cheap trip!

They updated the Photoshop group pic to include Lisa L:

Florida in regarding to Symphony Tours..
So I went back to my concert list and found I went to a Christmas show in Florida in 2011 and 2015. Nothing since, and I most probably would have gone just about anywhere in Florida

As a Floridian I'm grateful for all the superb Celtic Woman Opportunities that's been from the very beginning until about 2012 except for the 10th Anniversary Tour which is when they returned to where I lived since they stopped coming after 2011. I've never had to travel somewhere else for another CW concert. My first time I ever have was for Voice's for Angels Tour in 2017 since the 10th Anniversary Tour was the last time they have until present today made a stop at my home location.
This was North Florida, now that I am in Central Florida in 2022, I'm astounded by them always going to Ft.Myer's and Southwest Florida which in the past they never to Ft.Myer's if I recall and before even after when they didn't come to me anymore continued to come to Orlando until at some point. The Symphony Tour is even worse I never seen it come to Jacksonville or Orlando or any in Florida at least more seen them just Atlanta but that's about it. Florida always being known as their debut state once had the most stops when now today is amongst the least. It's only surprising to me that some places they never been to my knowledge is where they go now which is great more opportunities for folks but even Jacksonville over Orlando I only now see for myself not Celtic Woman but instead a chance at Celtic Thunder!

I had tried to made a comment on a previous post, but it didn't work.
Concerning Florida and Christmas shows, I went to 2. In 2011 they were in Clearwater and in 2015 they were in St Petersburg
-
rfcw made some comments about the tours in general in Florida. My thoughts.
Since 2009, I've been to 32 shows in Florida. Most were in the Tampa area (that's where I live). 5 were in Lakeland. A couple of times that was the first show on the tour. 6 were in Orlando. A few in Daytona, a few in Fort Myers.
A lot of my tickets I bought thru the local PBS station; primarily to get the M&G. That MAY have had some input in deciding what cities to go to. It seems like CW is cutting out the PBS stations now. I know a couple years ago that my local PBS station rep told me they were not going to participate any more since they were having issues with the venues. The venues did not want to allow PBS to get front row seats -- the venue wanted to sell them directly to their season ticket holders.

Have you seen the video they posted called
A Sneak Peek into the White Christmas Symphony Tour
At the 0m12s mark, you can make out a partial setlist on the laptop. :P
Can anyone read the songs? I think the highlighted one is
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
-
Well from what I can see, there’s 21 songs, the playlist is 1 hour 15 long. The first songs are:
- Hark The Herald Angels Sing
- Angels We Have Heard On High
- Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas (indeed!!)
- Don Oíche Úd I mBeithil
- Ding Dong (which may stand for Ding Dong Merrily on High)
On one of the file in the desk there’s one named I’ll Be Home, which might be Lisa solo from Home For Christmas?

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yes it is. You’d think there are a few old songs being resurrected because of Lisa — though I know Eabha took Lisa’s old solos when she was new.
