Tara Howley announced earlier this week that her upcoming performances in Dubai with Riverdance will be her last performances with the show.

She's stepping away to focus on her solo projects.

While you can still support her on Patreon, she followed up today with the launch of a kickstarter campaign for her new album.

She does have some pretty cool pledge reward levels.

Now that Tara has been on a Celtic Woman album and we're fairly sure she'll be on this year's Christmas tour, I moved the topic into the section that includes the other band members.

I also updated her discography.

Good news and bad news:

Bad news is due to a licensing delay with one of the songs, the album won't be releasing this year. The good news is we already have something to look forward to next Christmas! And there's even more good news: Tara released Auld Lang Syne as a single on December 17th! Tara plays pipes and whistles accompanied by jazzy guitar. Enjoy!

Tara Howley's original music was featured in the short film Dear Imelda, which is now streaming on Disney+ (at least in some regions, I don't see it in Canada yet).

I thought Tara was their official Uileann Piper now!!

I didn’t see anybody playing the Uileann Pipes in their clips, though…what does Daragh Murphy look like?

Oh…well, thank you for sharing that!

I’m glad I got to see Tara Howley while she was with them…it’s really wild how many people are leaving now, though! Tara, Ciara, Lloyd, John Hunt, Tara Howley…this has me nervous for the future  :-[

Well Ciara and Tara H were never actually meant to be permanent members, just guests on the tour. Tara was just covering because Darragh was on tour with Riverdance in China. That’s why I don’t really consider it “leaving”.

Huh. I thought Tara H was meant to be there permanently. I did have an inclination that Ciara was only meant to be temporary, but I am sad that Tara M’s not coming back…hopefully she can still achieve a prosperous solo career…

Hopefully this will be the last departure for a while and CW can have some stability with the lineup…it’s a bit exhausting, quite frankly.

Thanks for the heads up, Tom. Good eye!

I see Kieran Leonard in the video too. Yay!
