The Gothard Sisters are 3 sisters from the midwestern United States who play contemporary Celtic folk music, play lots of instruments, sing, and tapdance!
We've posted about them a few times before on the forum, but over the past 15 months or so, they've managed to become one of my favourite groups!
I have all their albums and I've watched just about all their online shows since mid-March last year, accounting for 29 of the 278 online shows I've seen since I started keeping track in 2020.
Last week, they released a new album of all original songs called Dragonfly (https://music.apple.com/us/album/dragonfly/1567363117). It's immensely enjoyable from beginning to end. It's an exceptional blend of engaging rhythms, lovely lyrics, pleasant harmonies, beautiful melodies, and songs that are all really fun to listen to!
They've definitely been one of the bright spots over the past year and a half. Aside from Celtic Woman and former CW performers, The Gothard Sisters are one of the few groups I would actually travel to see.

Dragonfly is an incredible new album! I love it! Same as Tom, The Gothard Sisters have become one of my favorite groups over the past 15 months. They have almost single-handedly taken care of my concert desires throughout these times of no live music with their wonderful series of online concerts. These ladies are fabulous and I can't wait to see them perform live someday!
