I Noticed Something About The New Lineup

If I’m correct, this is the first Celtic Woman lineup to not have a single member from Dublin!

Ten members hail from County Dublin, those being:
-Chloë
-Lisa K
-Méav
-Lynn
-Alex
-Lisa L
-Susan
-Éabha
-Emma (although she now lives in Donegal)
-Ciara

The current lineup right now is

-Muirgen (from Cork)
-Mairéad (from Derry)
-Caitríona (from Monaghan)
-Kate (from Mayo)

Not only are they all not from Dublin, but none of them are from Leinster if I recall correctly! (Cork=Munster, Derry and Monaghan=Ulster, Mayo=Connacht).

Kate is also the first member from the Connacht province!

Anyway, random observation that I found interesting. I hope they get someone from Donegal next, specifically Gweedore, as they have an incredibly rich folk tradition and Ulster Irish is magnificent!

Okay, so I was wrong. The first lineup to not have a member from Dublin was the 2023 Symphony tour lineup, with Tara from Antrim, Muirgen from Cork, Megan from Meath, and Hannah from Kilkenny. However, this new lineup is still the first lineup to not have a member from the Leinster province, as both Meath and Kilkenny are also in Leinster. And Megan left very soon after to be replaced by Emma, so they didn’t last long. Sorry for the misunderstanding, but still an interesting tidbit, I suppose!
