This makes me worry in a way with this most recent move.

I feel they are rushing too much with replacing members. According to Wikipedia, 2 members had come on board recently and now Ciara is gone. She was only on for a few months if even that.

If they keep doing this, I feel Celtic Woman is on a slippery slope which they might not recover from.

Thanks for coming to my TEDTalk.

I started previously that Ciara could have wanted to be a permanent member, but juggling BIIRD and CW might be a bit much. She might have realized that recently, hence the announcement of Kate

I think the early 2010s were also like this for them, mainly with the Emerald tour. First, Chloë leaves before the album even comes out, and is replaced by Mairéad Carlin. The lineup is now Mairéad C, Susan, Lisa, and Máiréad N. But then Lisa leaves early on (I believe for a show of some kind?) and is replaced by Lynn. Then, Lisa comes back for the rest of the tour. But wait! The 10th anniversary tour is upon us, and Lisa has left again, this time permanently. So Lynn is back in her place. But then she leaves and Méav replaces her. But then, Lynn comes back. Shortly after, Mairéad C goes back to Ireland to be with her dad (not sure exactly what specifically happened), and Alex comes in her place. Mairéad comes back, but Alex stays, because now Lynn’s left again! So the lineup for the final 10th anniversary shows is Alex, Mairéad C, Susan, and Máiréad N. Alex then leaves again and Éabha joins CW for Destiny.

It’s kind of like Lisa, Lynn, and Alex going back and forth with Tara, Ciara, and Kate. Caitríona is Mairéad C and Mairéad and Muirgen are Máiréad N and Susan—the constants in this equation.

Sorry, but it's not the same, it still was one member leaving and replaced or filled in at a time.

For the 10th Anniversary it was all setup in order to make it work. Lynn opened the tour in January and then Meav agreed to do a month touring in February or March. Lynn presumed after Meav finished and they did a setup so in order so Lynn could perform tour with Alex and so Mairead C could with Alex.

As for Emerald Tour, my belief is Lisa L agreed she could finish up the European/British Tour dates, there had to been a period where it was not feasible for Lynn at that time, and it was after Lynn's big trip to Brazil. Whether Lisa L was similar to Lisa K as unsure whether she return or not or Lisa L was clear she was parting but helped fill in for Lynn for the last shoes of the tour.

Oh, okay, sorry. I was going off old Wikipedia articles and the tour history. I wasn’t even fully out of the toddler stage by then, so I don’t really have the full knowledge 😭 please forgive me 😭

It is weird that they haven’t mentioned Tara or Emma leaving, though…they even said in the Kate announcement that they wished Ciara well on her BIIRD journey…but they never said when announcing Caitríona or Ciara that they bade farewell to Tara or Emma, and Emma is almost certainly gone, and apparently Tara as well…

What did they say with Hannah? I can't remember

A new member just got announced, for at least the spring tour.

https://www.facebook.com/celticwoman/posts/pfbid0vXg6zdKzTwP4feSkBEGvbD3NWzLGPG121g4r97x4Q5QJcV8kaKZeExrWRm6rkfn6l

Exciting announcement
We’re delighted to welcome Kate Heneghan, award-winning Irish fiddle player and multi-instrumentalist, to the Celtic Woman family.
Kate joins the Celtic Woman lineup for the upcoming Spring Tour, kicking off 4 March in Providence, MA.
We send our warmest wishes to Ciara as she tours the globe with Biird, another female Irish music sensation!
Tickets for the Spring Tour are available at https://www.celticwoman.com/tour-dates

OH MY GOODNESS  ??? ??? ???

SO DOES THAT MEAN TARA’S NOT COMING BACK? I guess it makes sense that Ciara’s leaving, but it’s wild that it happened so soon. But it seems that Tara isn’t coming back if they got another replacement…😔

Hopefully Kate is a good fit. I don’t know that much about her but she was chosen by Celtic Woman, so she must be good!

Comments on Instagram are saying Tara’s probably not coming back…😢…I don’t want to sound derogatory towards Kate or anything, but this is kind of heartbreaking for me…hopefully Tara can have a prosperous solo career or something…I guess she has been there nearly ten years…

The “About” page on the Celtic Woman website still has the pictures of Tara and Emma, but it doesn’t show anything with Caitríona or Ciara, so it probably just needs updating…

What did they say with Hannah? I can't remember

Here’s the announcement they made on their Facebook. CwazyTom posted a thread of Facebook announcements on the Members Timeline page.

As for the past of CW, I thought I recalled Alex auctioning selling one of the dresses. 🤔

Since it's proven that Mairead Carlin is the first member to of left and rejoined as a full time member would lead that why can't the same happen to any other member. I really admired the Postcard's of Ireland Music Director whether it was him or not because he recognized Susan as an asset of Celtic Woman and made her count as part of the family knowingly she parted for having to have a baby which having Susan on Postcard's of Ireland especially of her singing Amazing Grace with Johnstown Castle from Ancient Land, Susan had to give up being able to film a Celtic Woman Special in an outdoor castle setting so this was like something to give her back and perhaps to thank could been for how she helped stepping in several times for Mairead on Ancient Land Tour, and then for Chloe for the 15th and later POI and for Megan later POI Tour.
I was as much surprised how even though Susan wasn't in every song even only two, she would be out front standing with the girls on the cover of the album and the DVD. This special thing with Susan is to me what was supposed to happen with Lynn and Alex as well included. Alex and Lynn as Guest on Destiny would made the most sense alongside Meav featured. People are to be confused even more with Rebecca as to she became a Celtic Woman but didn't and what would it been if Lynn knew to do the harp or Alex.
Chloe and Susan able to featured on an album and DVD in another time while Susan can't be full time but be Part Time something that is uniquely made to her by him?

Emma, Tara, Ciara and even Hannah looks to me by not had farewell announcements especially Tara and Emma assumes that the window is open for them to step back into scene in the same fashion Mairead Carlin did. As for if Tara and Emma can have Part Time like Susan had with the last director doesn't mean the current director will do with the next former ladies. Can some come back for one album DVD guest, or is the rule if you want to come back means full time commitment only. That is the kind of questions which keeps me curious of the future direction with Celtic Woman.

No no, it's a whole jigsaw puzzle, at this point Celtic Woman existence and jarring rotations in compass is a phenomenon in itself! ;D
For some just three line up changes is a confusion for them. Nothing is more funnier than attending the tenth anniversary tour in April and the
Keychain and program has Meav and the guest sits there watching Lynn and during break pointing out This one is another one! ;D🤣🤣🤣🤣

Perhaps I wouldn't mind taking the Celtic Woman State Exam! 😁

Hey all love to see all the back and forth chating but here is one thing the Quoteing is getting alittle out of hand I will show you with a photo but you can quote people but when that quote also has 4 other quotes in it gets alittle carried away. Think of it this way the more type you share in a quote the more space it takes in our data base. I counted 8 quotes that had 4 or more posts in the quote and it takes up my whole screen with the quotes and maybe part of the new post and my laptop has a 17.3 inch screen which is big for a laptop now thing of someone that is using a phone to veiw this as no Forum is made for mobiles. But first off is have fun

I know some of us will miss Tara, and I think for the fact that we know by Tara that this was a dream job for her, I am so glad that she got to salute with Mairead Nesbitt on the 20th Celebration, I'm very surprised how long she's been with the group not because she wouldn't stick around but by how time flew, with Mairead Nesbitt the road felt longer.
