Hey Everyone!

I'm Maddie Ní Mhurchú, I'm actually from Ireland! My online time may be a little weird. I'm only new to all of this, please forgive me if I make mistakes! I started listening to CW in September 2025 and hearing their new album Nollaig just made it all so much more intriguing.

I was reading over some introduction boards to familiarise myself with the community, some people are fans since the PBS 2004 special, that is absolutely wild!

I'm still learning whos voice is who and registering their names in my head, I might mix everyone up, I'm awful at names  :-[

Anywho, thank you for allowing me to join such a wonderful community, this is honestly so lovely and hopefully when I do become a bit more confident in CW I will be able to join in on discussions and topics! :)

Take care, everyone!

Dia duit, Maddie!  ;D

It’s lovely to see someone from Ireland here! I’m quite jealous! What county are you from, if you don’t mind me asking?

I feel you on being new 😭 I felt so inexperienced when I came here and everyone had all the DVDs and had been to dozens of concerts. If you need any information, I’m sure we’d all be happy to help you!

Welcome! You are blessed to live in Ireland! You can see a lot of the local concerts that don't tour internationally. Like from former CW ladies.

Maybe I can ask you a question first. How do you pronounce your last name? I think Ciara also uses "Murphy" as her last name. Does that sound the same as Mhurchú?

Anyways, have fun on here!

I'm actually from Dublin, so where the girls flourished in the music industry! It's lovely to see I'm not the only one who feels that way 😭

I can do it phonetically so the anglicised version of my name is Murphy and how you pronounce it is "nee woirakoo" Ní is the female pronoun in Irish. Men use Ó Murchú "oh woirkoo". It's odd I know!
