I think this time around I'm as more interested in seeing the dresses and seeing Kate up there! Boy we sure waited a long time for this, it's even more interesting because the Celtic Woman tour opens up with not only a new member but a new violinist. When Tara first appeared it was half through an international tour which made it different. This on the other hand hypes the opening of a tour big time! I can imagine how it must feel everything entirely new lol!
I found a photo showing their dresses on Instagram (ignore the YouTube video in the bottom corner ) Shout out to Kenny Uong for posting it!
I’m not that fond of the gowns, personally. They look kind of sad and the blue looks too dull. My favourite is probably either Mairéad's or Caitríona’s. I don’t like the texture of Muirgen’s and Kate’s is too basic.
Your provably referring to Act 2 dresses or Act 1?
Act 1 I was so joyous, the Ocean Vibe and Muirgens there happened to be one of my favorites as it had a sort of painting esque palette!
I was referring to what I thought were the Act 2 dresses, turns out they were the Act 1 dresses (the monochrome ones)...Muirgen's kind of looked like a wallpaper to me if I have to be honest 😭 and the colour just looks too muted to me...it gives off more of a fancy work event or distant cousin's wedding feel than a performer one...the second act colouring was much more to my liking.
Then again, to each their own, and the dresses being durable for performing is what's most important...
Okay so the bright Ocean colors were Act 2. Okay so my compliments were for Act 2. I have not seen Act 1 yet, but when I saw they were all dark blue it didn't surprise me because of the promo image of The New Era Tour! It does give off Homecoming Vibes which I wasn't fond of vs the Voices of Angels dresses!😭 It's very interesting how since the 20th they went with darker dresses Act 1 with lighter Act 2.

Ugh same 🫠 I now they ask people not to record but I wish someone would live stream the whole thing lol
Haha, I can wait for this one, surprised how fast videos have surfaced! Now the longest special that killed me curious to wait was the 20th Special! 🤣 I waited a long time for a link here!

So I found another picture that Caitríona posted of their dresses…they’re much less cohesive than the previously mentioned gowns, but they’re also a lot prettier…my assumption would be that these were the first act outfits?
I guess my main complaint would be the aforementioned lack of cohesion…they’re all very clearly store bought, which isn’t necessarily bad, in fact, my favourite ever dresses were store bought (the 2024 symphony tour dresses if you’re wondering), but Caitríona and Kate are wearing dresses in a very different blue family than Mairéad and Muirgen. I do think Caitríona’s dress is absolutely beautiful and the others are decent as well, but the budget was certainly cut quite a bit and it shows…I’m worried…
Then again, I could very easily be too negative…I think my biggest issue is that Muirgen’s dress should have been greener (honestly a completely different design would have worked better because although the design is cute, it’s not really giving off performing energy) and Kate’s a lighter colour or less green. Maybe some details on as well so she’s not the only one without? I think that the designs are all so different is also jarring to me as well...Caitriona's and Mairead's are fine, but Muirgen's and Kate's seem a bit too plain in comparison. I do like the brighter colours, though! The second act ones are far too muted.
It’s official, CW should hire me as their new designer
Aww yes! now I see what you mean. Whenever I see a new cast photo or poster representing the tour it usually gives us a glimpse as to what they'll be wearing for example 15th Anniversary Celebration Tour when they did the photoshoot with Eabha. So seeing the New Era Tour Poster Image I sensed already the dresses would be so, I was almost curious and had mentioned if Muirgen was going to have her 20th Anniversary Dress except in a new color. I suppose they may save for more staple signature dresses for the next CW Special. Now also would the dresses here and color tone represent something in particular, the seas of Ireland etc Isle of Hope Tour was the flags of America and Ireland, but I'm sure Star's would say those dresses were stunning. I thought I heard the CW original dress designer Synon was back so I was curious to see if the looks would of returned to a classic CW style as before but so far they are looking like they did on the 20th Anniversay.

I am actually not surprised at all they go that route, if you recalled they did attend a Dolly concert and or met her. It was such a big deal for them but I will say if Megan sees this, she'd probably would of bite her lip saying maybe I should of waited a bit so I could perform a song with CW from the artist of my dreams, JUST KIDDING! 😆 I think this song will go in the same rounds as "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking for" which I don't know if they recorded that and "Water Under the Bridge!"

I suppose the first and the last options were right? It ended up being the second song of the first act, with Caitriona's An Cailin Alainn (on computer so no fadas) opening the concert. But it was the first group song of the concert.
Well Congratulation's to the one voter! I am surprised so many of you and I have voted it as second act first song. I am not surprised that it opened the show, I just thought since it's new Era it would be different. I could of added in second song first act. In old Celtic Woman concerts Dulaman would be a second act first song!

I think we could expect: Danny Boy, You Raise Me Up, The Parting Glass as usual but also: Teir Abhaile Riu Dawning of the Day Wild Mountain Thym Ave Maria (Homecoming Version)
Just spotted on Cormac’s instagram (the guitarist) a story showing the stage, the design is pretty simple, looks like there’s only one drummer and we could expect some numbers with Kate playing harp. I also think that there won’t be choir members or maybe the two dancers we saw in the rehearsals footage would be the backing singers?
Hopefully some of you will attend the opening night tomorrow and will answer most of our questions and expectations!
As expected! I don't mind A Stor Mo Chroi as one solo since to me it's her best one and not surprised because this would be part first time outside the 20th Celebration. This leads to a new group song that was I Know My Love, will this one be performed or not will tell, if I had to guess I'd doubt it as you have all the other many ceili style numbers!

It is cool that with this tour we speculate for the fun of it because it gives a game of did we or which one of us came close! I believe the Seaweed Queen may of started between which reigned best when it came between Meav and Lisa Lambe. Of course Lynn has done the job prior but we all still would rule out Meav as Queen! However once Lisa Lambe stepped in she brought new life to that song in a whole new way! I thought it was music sheet for Kate as the way the notes you'd assume it was for the violin but the group version only has a violin accompany.
Here are four possibilities
1. Opener of the tour is as same as 20th Anniversary Dulaman Group Version. The music sheet was shared because Caitriona is new so it's Her first time.
2. Opener of Act 2 same group version
3. Back as a solo performance which means she is our new seaweed queen.
4. Something completely new, duet, which is possible but unlikely
It says “Voice” at the top, so it’s not Kate’s. Also, I love the term “seaweed queen”, I am definitely stealing that! 😄
I think option 2 is most likely, but we don’t know for sure! It’s fun to speculate though. Again, to everyone who goes to these shows: DROP THE SETLISTS!!!!!!

Caitríona posted a montage of photos from rehearsals on Instagram. One of them shows sheet music for Dúlamán. (I attached it here, you can see it in the top right corner.)
Do we think it will be the same version used in the 20th anniversary show? I’m inclined to think yes, as it’s Caitríona’s sheet music (last time it was a solo, Muirgen sang it) and that edition is still very new.
I was originally going to maybe bring this up in a new post. It could go either ways keeping Dulaman the group version as a 20th Special. Muirgen doing as a solo was at the time when she replaced the spot of Mairead C. Another possibility could be having it with just Mairead C and Muirgen as a duet form might be interesting.

This is looking very much like Isle of Hope Tour. Isle of Hope Tour did debut The Call and a new You Raise Me Up version found from The Greatest Journey CD. I don’t think there’s ever been another time that introduced songs without an album out.
