Celtic Woman / Re: Celtic Woman Member Timeline
« on: January 27, 2026, 06:26:36 PM »
Updated the membership and timeline on Wikipedia and here on the Forum. I see someone already tried to make some of the changes and Wikipedia reverted it due to sourcing concerns. I gave them the Facebook post and the news post from the Celtic Woman website this time. We'll see if that holds up to their scrutiny.
It seems sometimes like with or without sources you can't add anything to Wikipedia without them questioning it and threatening discipline for it.

Celtic Woman A New Era Toured 2026 / Re: New Album???
« on: December 23, 2025, 04:59:40 PM »
My guess would be that they’re doing something similar to what they did in 2009 with the Isle Of Hope Tour right before they released Songs From The Heart…

The title of “A New Era” sounds to me like they’re going back to the grand shows and world tours of old, like in the David Downes days. CW had slowed down a lot after COVID and hopefully they’re picking things up again.

Also, thank you for pointing out “An Chailín Álainn” in the background of the promo! I knew there was something up with that song, I just couldn’t figure out what! I hope that’s a Caitríona solo! She sounds lovely and we need more solos anyway! I hope they go back to each member having at least two! I love the group performances as well, but the solos were amazing to highlight the talents of each member and made the group performances all the more special.
So do you think most of the show will be new songs they haven’t recorded, some of the recent singles and some new arrangements?

Hi David,
Thanks! Interesting they have a Christmas ornament. I'm always looking for autographed merch. But maybe they'll add that later on the tour???

I was looking forward to seeing you & everyone else, but nothing around here for Christmas or Spring Tour. Hmm. I will have to figure out 2026.

Anyways, I think a lot of people appreciate the report. Especially since you went to the first show. So feel free to post more!

- Andy

Is this setlist going to be the same for each concert? I’m seeing the one in Grand Prairie on Sunday.

The setlist is generally the same. They may add or delete like 1-2 songs based on time restrictions. We've seen shows at casinos generally (but not always) skip an intermission & delete a couple songs. They may also add a song or two based on local favorites (e.g. Feliz Navidad).
I went in 2023 at Mystic Lake casino and they weren’t even on stage for 90 minutes

I saw the Celtic Woman perform yesterday in Salt Lake City at Abravanel Hall!  It was Caitríona, Ciara, and Tara Howley's first performace with Celtic Woman!  It was a really great concert, and that's why I'm planning to see it again tomorrow night in Denver.

Here is my Instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DRygL37DjIt

Here is the set list:

Instrumental medley of Christmas carols, featuring Tara & John
- (Lloyd introduces the ladies)
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
Hark the Herald Angels Sing
- (Mairéad introduces new members)
O' Holy Night
The Wexford Carol (Muirgen solo)
Codail a Leanbh (arranged by music director Brian Byrne)
- (Mairéad talks)
River, by Joanie Mitchell (Mairéad solo)
Little Drummer Boy
Silent Night (Ciara solo, sandwiched by Irish tunes)
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
In the Bleak Midwinter
- (Caitríona talks about how this is her dream come true)
Joy to the World

= (intermission)

Carol of the Bells
Silver Bells
- (Mairéad talks)
Don Oíche Úd i mBeithil (Caitríona solo)
We Three Kings
Nollaig na mBan
Various Irish tunes, I think (Kira solo)
- (Mairéad talks)
Danny Boy
Sleigh Ride (instrumental, fun whip sounds)
It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas / Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
- (Caitríona introduces Auld Lang Syne)
Auld Lang Syne
White Christmas

Some notes from Salt Lake City:

During "Danny Boy" is the best time to take pictures because that's the only time the ladies stand together.  They stood on the left side of the stage (the middle of the left side).

I wanted to give a standing ovation at the end of the first half but no one else was standing.  I'll do it anyway next time!

Caitríona's performace of "Don Oíche Úd i mBeithil" is great.  You can hear her sing the same song on the album "A Long Way From Home" by "Irish Christmas in America'.  (Or you can hear Sibéal sing it on Nollaig by Celtic Woman.)

Caitríona accidentally started introducing Auld Lang Syne two songs early (right before Sleigh Ride).  Lloyd said something to her, then he handled it really coolly.  She slowly and confidently said "Oh, I'm getting way ahead of myself.  I'm just going to walk off stage and pretend that didn't happen!"  Then she walked off stage at a comfortable pace.  If it were me I would have been nervous and talked really fast and rushed off stage, but she's a calm pro!

Anyone else going to Denver?
I was listening to the Irish Christmas in America album the other night. I attended that concert when I was 15.

Not a lot of tour dates announced today.

Just doing quick internet searches, and from the concerts posted on the Calendar here, I generally get this feeling:
- March : East Coast USA
- April : Canada

If you're not in those areas, you have to hope more dates are added for Feb or May.

That's my guess.  :(
Some of the gaps call for more dates TBA.
There's a gap of a week at the end of March - surely that will be filled with a few more dates.
Monday Apr 13 and then not another show until Sat Apr 18 -- maybe that's a gap to be filled.

Any other city leaks?
The only time they’ve ever teased a tour was Ancient Land.

There is new artwork for this. It says "A New Era" Spring Tour 2026.

https://amtshows.com/show/celtic-woman-2026/

That’s interesting…

It looks more like a concept to me…especially since that art looks more like a placeholder, given that it’s a bluewashed version of the 2025 White Christmas Symphony Tour promo. The article seems fairly vague as well. I wonder if it’s currently in development…

March isn’t all that far away, and it does seem like a short time to make an entirely new album, but Celtic Woman has made albums quickly before. And although I don’t know much about Brian Byrne, he seems to be ambitious…hopefully he can develop the band further (and develop their mixing skills!).
Unless it's possible that there was some recording shortly after the completion of Nollaig???

HUZZAH!!!! 🥳🥳🥳

I hope this means there will be a new album…

Also, I don’t think they’ve been this productive since the Gavin Murphy days.

And it’s wonderful that you’re in contact with them now. :D
There must've been something cooking at the same time as Nollaig???

It is not on Celtic Woman.com.
How interesting. No tour name either.
We know a Christmas album is coming but no thing non holiday that we know of.

Caitriona and Ciara any idea???

13
Wow! They are really good at keeping secrets. Interesting how Tara and Ciara are both on the album.
They must've recorded most if not all of it in July since Mairead was in the Faroe Islands in the second half of June making her solo album and Tara's baby was born in August (wonder if both Tara & Ciara are on some tracks).
It seems like a trend for christmas albums to be secrets (especially with no special going with it -- I remember The Magic of Christmas being a surprise as they never announced recording of that one. They just posted about "learning some music" and that was all).

14
They deleted the pics of Tara & Emma at the bottom of the CW website (Tours & Tickets, Store, etc).  :(

There are four pics of the "CW model" right now.
The fact Caitríona & Ciara are announced as “new members”makes it sound like Emma & Tara are gone and not returning. Emma hasn’t been on stage since the 20 tour ended so a warning sign there

15
Did they replace Tara?!  :o  That makes me sad if they did.

this is the way CW posted it and makes it sound just for the christmas tour

Caitríona Sherlock and fiddle player Ciara Ní Mhurcú are joining the Celtic Woman line-up for our upcoming Symphony tour.

As Tara just had her baby 2 1/2 weeks ago and with baby only little over 3 months old at the start of the christmas tour kind of hard to leave baby with new dad even more so if Tara is feeding the baby and as for Emma it's unknown
Given that Emma is missing again it seems doubtful that she may be there "too much longer". One would hope she'll do another tour but it seems like if she does another one she may leave after it.  Either way Mairead & Muirgen are still there though.
