“BREAKING NEWS” Celtic Woman next week will be announcing their new 2026 Spring Tour of North America. Stay tuned for more information
-
;D
-
Where did you hear this? Just curious.
-
I guess I can say now CW is now working with the forum so this came to me via CW for release The forum is learning this before everyone else.
-
HUZZAH!!!! 🥳🥳🥳
I hope this means there will be a new album…
Also, I don’t think they’ve been this productive since the Gavin Murphy days.
And it’s wonderful that you’re in contact with them now. :D
-
I was considering go to the Christmas show in Atlanta. I have some conflicts that I can work around but I really don't want to fly that close to Christmas. PLus, the M&Gs have typically become a photo op. I'd rather go to a "tour" show, especially since I can maybe do 2 back to back. If I have to travel, make the most of it.

Congrats on that! That's big news itself. I know you've been working on it for a while. Thanks for all your hard work!

There must've been something cooking at the same time as Nollaig???

Never understood why the CW folks distanced themselves from the forum in the past.

Since the tickets for the Saskatchewan show go on general sale November 21st (pre-sale November 19th), I suspect tickets for most venues will go on sale around the same time on November 21st.
They'll probably do the announcement on or before November 18th.

You have my attention... Where is the Saskatchewan show being held?
EDIT: Not in my city! And I can't go! And it's too expensive right now! https://conexusartscentre.ca/event/celtic-woman/

Any other city leaks?
The only time they’ve ever teased a tour was Ancient Land.

Tom & I posted like 3-4 in the Calendar. But not a lot yet...

Did Muirgen give a clue on her Insta?

I think she might be!!
However, I believe she’s mentioned something before about making some solo music, so she could also be referencing that. (I believe she posted it on her Facebook…? I don’t have it, but I think someone mentioned it on her board here.)

I believe this is about her solo music, not anything cw. ☺️

Not a lot of tour dates announced today.

Not a lot of tour dates announced today.
Well, they did just announce it. I think the official date for when all of the tickets will be available is the 21st.
Hopefully they’ll have some shows near my area…

Not a lot of tour dates announced today.
Just doing quick internet searches, and from the concerts posted on the Calendar here, I generally get this feeling:
- March : East Coast USA
- April : Canada
If you're not in those areas, you have to hope more dates are added for Feb or May.
That's my guess. :(

Some of the gaps call for more dates TBA.
There's a gap of a week at the end of March - surely that will be filled with a few more dates.
Monday Apr 13 and then not another show until Sat Apr 18 -- maybe that's a gap to be filled.

They're also doing Calgary, AB on April 9th
Presale is tomorrow

When CW (or a venue) shares the presale code, share it here. If it looks like a venue-specific pre-sale code, it can be added to the appropriate calendar event.
Pre- sale access is available using the code: CWSPRING26. Available until 11:59 PM 20th November

@GlenS
Do you know or get the feeling if they will add a second leg to the tour (e.g. May or Fall)?
;)

All I can say is the normal spring tour is from Feb. thru end of june or into July. I know nothing about the dates I have passed the info I have gotten from CW offices to you guys

It’s possible that they might do this Spring tour in North America and go international in Autumn.
-
The tour dates so far are up on the Celtic Woman site now. They added a few more shows (including even more Canada shows).
I count 43 total so far:
- 16 in Canada
- 27 in the US
Not much in May yet, so there's a possibility they'll add more. I don't know one way or the other at the moment.
I think I got all the known dates so far in the calendar. They could use an audit though.
-
I've seen this graphic floating around with all the tour dates that we currently know of. They mention a 45-city tour, but list in the graphic only 43 shows and 42 cities (there are two shows in Lancaster, PA). So I'm not sure what's going on there, if 45 is a typo, or if there are 3 more shows to come.

The Spring Tour is relatively short. Doing a Fall international tour does sound reasonable. I think they haven't toured Europe in a long time, and a lot of fans there have been asking about it.
@CWazyTom: Thanks for updating the Calendar!

I hope they do go international and release a long album along with it. Celtic Woman in the past few years (really since COVID, I feel) has been more low-key, only touring in North America and releasing fewer, shorter albums. The title of “A New Era” gives me hope that we’re going back to the grandiose Celtic Woman days, like in the David Downes era.

Yes! I hope so... ;D

I went ahead and bought tickets for the March 25th show in Clearwater, FL. Have seen the girls there before a couple of times; mostly via PBS tickets.
So, since I am not a member of the venue, I couldn't buy tickets until Friday. I was able to get tickets in Row J. Most of the closer seats required you to become a member, with, of course, an additional fee. I the tickets (2) were $92 each.
As I was checking out, I had the option to purchase a M&G. OK, what the heck. Paragraph of you get a photo, opportunity to talk the the girls (not holding my breath), etc. They wanted $100 a person.
So after you add State Sales Tax, "Tourist" Tax, and a Service Charge, 2 tickets with M&G cost me just under $450! I've paid this much in the past, but it was for better seats, plus I could sometimes get a tax credit for a donation to PBS.
In the past I have gone to 10 to 12 shows a year. I know this is a short tour right now, so we shall see how I feel after seeing this show.

I got my tickets for the Saskatoon show! 3rd row from the stage!

10-12 shows a year?! I admire your dedication.
I should probably get started on nagging my mother for tickets (half joking on the nagging part, don’t worry 😭)…she seemed pretty excited when I told her about the Myrtle Beach concert, so hopefully she can get tickets for us as an early Christmas gift or something.
How do you become a member of a venue?

It is interesting how they are offering M&G on "normal" ticket sites now. Of course last Christmas, they had M&G on the official CW website. But aside from that, have they ever done non-PBS M&G like this? I wonder if we'll see any partnership with PBS on the Spring tour, especially since the there are not a lot of US dates.

dbbii knows a lot more than me. But from what I know you can become a member of a venue by subscribing to a season pass to all shows or selected shows, or just making a huge donation.
At a recent show (where I was with other CWF members btw), some staff told us CW were at a M&G after the concert. There were none publicly offered. So we assumed it was for members or donors.
