Title: Does Destiny have a Ceili type song?
Post by: rfcw on July 18, 2021, 05:42:18 PM
I always been in love with each special having it's share of a ceili number in another set of fun dresses. Sure the original didn't but to me Orinoco Flow was in some way and At the Ceili began on that first tour.
Do you think Destiny has one? If so which one?

Bean Phadin, Tir na Nog, Oro se Baithe, or it doesn't have any.

To me it's Bean Pháidín, mainly due to the percussion and liveliness of the track. But Tír na nÓg is very close!

Loving the different answers thanks!

I like to see only it being Bean Phaden!
I don't know why but esp now with the new version
on Ancient Land Tour seems to summon it as the great next one after Ballroom Of Romance.

Tir na Nog is close but...
I love the speed definitely maybe too fast tho. The old Bean Phaden is too slow for me to enjoy it as a ceili song.

Honestly for this era 2015-2017

Nil Sen La (2017) rare version is very ceili with those dresses same they wear for Danny Boy!

I am disappointed why Destiny didn't have a separate set of dresses
for one of those songs even if it was for Tir Na Nog.

I could see it as either Bean Phaidin or Tir na Nog, although neither of those stand out to me as ceili songs as much as the ones in other specials.

The ceili song is usually the last song of Act 1 isn't it?

I would have to say it is Teir Abhaile Riu next to the last song of the show
