Celtic Woman A New Era Toured 2026 / Re: New Album???

Listening to The Greatest Journey right now. I feel that they should have released a Greatest Journey like album to tie in with this tour. A few new songs, maybe some of the 20 "bonus songs", a few tracks from 20 and maybe some from Ancient Land/Postcards from Ireland too.

Celtic Woman / Re: Best Song Version For Orinoco Flow

Mine will probably always be the original. I actually prefer it to Enya’s. I love the grand orchestration and Órla, Méav, and Lisa K are some of Celtic Woman’s greatest vocal talents. Fun fact: this was one of five CW songs that I listened to repeatedly on one road trip shortly after I’d discovered them (the other four were Téir Abhaile Riú, Níl Sé’n Lá, Dúlamán, and The Voice). I also read Jill Duggar’s memoir Counting The Cost on that road trip, so even now I still kind of associate Orinoco Flow with that book.

I do love the dancing on the version you shared, though! Susan sings it wonderfully and I like Éabha’s contralto backing! Where is that from originally?

Cool! That was from The Voices of Angel's Tour! This version wasn't in Homecoming DVD nor the VOA album!

I just saw this one, which I thought was worth mentioning because it's different. It's a cover of the Cranberries "Linger" but in Gaelic.

On a side note, the tour manager Sett was a tour manager for the Cranberries too I think.

FYI https://youtu.be/_372R-F6wKk is the link you want to post. The ?si= parameter is a tracking method by google. More info here: https://old.reddit.com/r/youtube/comments/1qlrcg5/please_start_cleaning_the_links_you_share/ Please spread this.

Kate Heneghan / Re: Kate in Hurricane Highway

I listened to the Exposed album. It's an enjoyable country-rock album. The guitar and vocals are the dominant sounds but you can hear the violin if you focus enough. Keep Them Kisses Comin' and Yeah are some of the easier tracks to hear the violin.

This version the orchestration is so beautiful. As for the choreography very interesting almost like a clock spin!

I don't think or recall Star Dawn made one for Orinoco Flow! ;)

Celtic Woman A New Era Toured 2026 / Re: 2026 Spring Tour tickets
« Last post by LakersCeltics on February 03, 2026, 03:09:15 PM »
The Meet & Greet option has changed over the years.  The first one I went to was in 2009.  That was when you only meet 2 girls, and it was random as to which ones.  The M&G was typically offered as part of a package thru PBS that usually included front row, or at least orchestra level, seats.  I think at that time the cost was $250 for 2 tickets and the M&G.

These "early" M&G's were great! They were done after the show.  There were maybe 20 or so people.  You actually got a minute or two to talk to the girls and they would sign things for you.  I have a couple things that are signed by all 5 (at that time) girls.

In 2013, they changed to basically a photo op with all the girls.

EDIT

I hope I can get the new ladies to sign something. I know mgmt doesn't encourage that. But if people spend $200+ on tickets and M&G (e.g. $400+ for a pair, $600+ for a family of 3), I would hope they would allow it. It seems like most people I've met at M&Gs care more about the photo op.

Celtic Woman / Re: Favourite Solos From Each Member?

Only gonna go with songs from the albums/dvd's....

Mairead N: Granuaile's Dance - ANJ (no competition, love this song whenever she performs it)
Orla: Isle Of Innisfree (the orchestration backing for this song and her voice and the beautiful harp... stunning)
Meav: I Dreamt I Dwelt In Marble Halls (her voice just soars on this song and sounds truly angelic)
Lisa K: The Voice (her voice on this song is and will always be the best)
Chloe: When You Believe - SFTH (she just soars on this song and never disappointed)
Hayley: Scarborough Fair (the clarity and power she exhibits on this song is incredible)
Lynn: Suantrai (she just stuns on this song)
Alex: You'll Be In My Heart (I loved watching her expressions when she performed this song)
Lisa L: Dulaman (her version is what brought me back to loving this song again b/c I was starting to think it was overdone)
Susan: Sometimes A Prayer Will Do (this song was the first CW song I heard after my Grandma died so it's very special to me)
Mairead C: Ae Fond Kiss (imo, one of the most beautiful love songs ever)
Eabha: Walk Beside Me (I LOVED this song when I first heard it and thought she sang it perfectly, it was also beautiful seeing the other girls come out and join her at the end for her first show w/ Celtic Woman)
Tara: For The Love Of A Princess (Tara really played her heart out on this song, just breathtaking)
Megan: Shenandoah (I loved her beautiful soaring voice on this song)
Muirgen: Down By The Sally Gardens (this song has long been a favorite of mine, hearing her sing this was phenomenal)
Emma: Rainbow (I thought she sounded so sweet and lovely on this song)

Interesting choices! I agree with what you said about Megan and Shenandoah…although The Lakes Of Pontchartrain is my favourite solo of hers, that song definitely shows off her voice the best. I like seeing people add reasons to theirs as well. I’ll have to go back and add some more reasons to mine.

I find Bonny Portmore shows off her great Operatic range and ability!akes Of Pontchartrain is such a Megan song it’s vibe fits who she is to me.
