Mairead Carlin / Re: Mairéad returns to Celtic Woman!
« on: July 09, 2023, 08:36:00 AM »
I truly missed Mairead C and Eabha not being in the group, just like when Alex and Lynn left.

I hope all went great for Hannah. I can't imagine the CW management wanting or needing to be like that idk.. do we think she was announced as a official new member for the fact that she be doing the symphony tour and nobody there wanted to say she was a fill-in for Susan/Chloe when that absolutely wasn't the case at all. Susan And Alex were both announced as official members later when they were official to become past their fill in original purposes. People say Deirdre is a member is it because she participated in the group because if she was announced as a member and then didn't stay then that would be the exact thing Hannah has!

Perhaps there was a possibility Susan could commit just for the Symphony tour maybe went along to her on the music videos but then she stated she couldn't...  I was sort of surprised after Hannah they added Emma as to me she sounds like a soprano replacement for Mairead C and Hannah looked like a Chloe with a sound like Meav. Whether or not Muirgen would still take that lead role and now with Mairead C it's like three Sopranos. I missed Mairead's sound to the group whatever placement any of them would be awe to hear Mairead paired with Muirgen.. I assume Emma would do Megan's spot we'll see. Will we see the Muirgen and Mairead potential it has to be based on Muirgen's vocals!

A Christmas Symphony Tour 2023 / Re: Celtic Woman Symphony Tour 2023

This is so exciting!!*

There isn't even a tour vid of this song, I don't think it was performed on tour. I just think a visual of Mairead on this song would been so powerful, Ave Maria and Dulaman were fine, but a time for us was so good! I always vision if a/castle show went through 2017 we would seen it performed outdoor and Meav guest with them on O America..one could dream.. whoever did Dulaman but wanted Meav haha

General Discussion / Re: Unpopular Opinions

I gotta say my all time CW favorite is You Raise Me Up.  Specifically the version done at Red Rocks.  Its one of the few times I have heard them do the second verse.  You are outside in the mountains under stars and they sing "sometimes I think I glimpse eternity".  You do.

You're referring to the Lynn and Lisa L 2009-2011 era?

I could only go if the flight was paid..😁 now why couldn't they done this for Believe or a filming in the states. Anyone in Ireland is so in luck and why not it's their birth place for Helix sakes.😁

Celtic Woman 20th Anniversary Tour / Re: Tribute Video
« on: July 04, 2023, 07:52:49 AM »
I knew it was you for the importance of Deirdre! Made me so in love with her rendition style of She Moved Thru the Fair once again!

To start with Mairead Nesbitt with that song is so CW perfect and all the song choices are the perfect touch of the Irish energy it becomes more emotional as you get to from Eabha to Muirgen those songs are absolute breathtaking.

That Tara solo is as emotionally grandiose of all as Slumber my Darling that use to transition just beforep Nella Fantasia on tour as one of the most heartstruck.. so for me those two are sublime of cw bests from the violinists!

It's hard to pick for Alex between You'll Be in My Heart and True Colors, had she done My Heart Was Home Again in a CW Special wonder if that would been a stealer. I love Alex but wanted her to have an ireland song like the others. Meav is also hard to pick but she owns Dulaman so great choice indeed!

Stay tuned. The special guest announcement is supposed to be happening as soon as this week.

😱😱😱

Thank you for sharing! Such a great listen lots of positive motivations from known other than Alex herself! It was so neat to hear her speak on her weaknesses, I can't comprehend how Lynn is a genius at the techno side! I am deeply curious though about the Celtic Woman private thing in 2019 she mentioned Lynn organized.. oh I would dream just to go to a hotel and just sit unwined and just to listen see Alex perform!

Ancient Land on Tour / Re: Susan filling in for Mairead Carlin

Amazing Grace, feat Susan Mcfadden
https://youtu.be/LWbF0XK0Cuk

Oh🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩someone just posted a quality SUPERB
of Amazing Grace in Prague with Susan in Mairead's spot!

You can see Megan in love like she is to witness perform with her.

I've seen several clips but not this quality.
??? IT'S UNBELIEVABLE THE SOUND SO EXACT TO WHEN with Mairead C!

This was the best tour segment because it was a beautiful moment for Susan had her maternity kept her from gracing the Ancient Land Castle filming and even though she claimed again in Postcards from Ireland this first time here shows her first time returning filling in and doing the top soprano role she is capable of!

While Lynn is by far the best replacement Celtic Woman has ever had to uphold the Soprano position of Meav, Susan is the second closest so far for filling in for Mairead C even though for solos it made not be. x

Toured 2023 / Re: 2023 Marks The All Post David Group
« on: May 25, 2023, 10:05:25 AM »
Interesting I never looked over the VOA Nil Sen LA version as dark, is less in the fun factor aspect yes but sometimes I'd like to have another version that is stylized like the other Celtic Woman songs. The choreography during the once tour was phenomenal I can't believe they didn't record on DVD as a bonus at least. That and TAR are my favorites even though I get people love love the original I would even say postcards from Ireland's slow vibe is dark contrast to the chilling reinnovation that VOA proved same songs can be given new birth for a fresh new time today.  Ofc the first time I listened to the CD, I did not like the new versions but that's normal by the sudden difference at first!

I wonder why they chose to do silhouettes instead of pics or no pics of the ladies.

Everything CWazyTom said!!!
However I have to say they never in their history put a random silhouette w/o it looking like who the member was...

CWX didn't have a silhouette although they advertised Emerald cast and there was a darken Lisa L on Dulaman pose but that wasn't CW doing that!
Since they've announced a new member to replace Megan I wonder if the lineup will be Muirgen/Emma/Hannah/Tara/rotating 5th member?

I doubt that now actually since now with two new member's!
That doesn't mean it won't happen..
Can we have at least a special this time...Celebration and CWX were the best!
