 I know it's not a soft goodbye it's a soft hello  ;D to Lisa K, Chloe and
 Meav!  ;D Hello  :)

Actually looking on David's Wikipedia now I understand why we may not get rearrangements to those original songs that are his! :-(

A Christmas Symphony Tour 2023 / Re: Celtic Woman Symphony Tour 2023
« on: August 20, 2023, 06:24:54 PM »
I was listening to CW Christmas music today. Any time is a good time for Christmas music - right?

I am so looking forward to Mairead C singing Auld Lang Syne. She hits the high note in the middle of the song in the Magic of Christmas version (not so much at the end of the song). So good!!!

I was never a big fan of Auld Lang Syne until I heard Eabha do it.  Her version then became one of my favs!  To me, it's not a song for a soprano to sing.

Lisa Lambe was terrific but now with Eabha her voice with is soft.

All my Dreams would of come true! I'll spit my water out of my cup if be! ;D

Another thing I thought about is, the original is returning for the special.....but......what if we get surprised by Lisa Lamb, Lynn, and Alex. Could be a possibility.

I really really hope to hear The Sky &The Dawn & The Sun, this is such a classic song to left out of such a milestone...

Cant forget about nil sen la, the call...

Well, I have my hopes up after they posted yesterday's video.
They’ve not sung the call in close to 10 years.

I'm down hearing Meav do the Call with them for she never sang it, she'll fill in Lynn's part outstandingly! She did so well with Nil sen la before and her on Amazing Grace once was a strong unique gem to witness**!

Just because the taping and anniversary special has the originals and the current lineup doesn't mean the celebration can end there. It would likely be open any of the other former members could take on an alternation of the 20th tour! If Meav, Mairead N, Lisa K and Chloe have things going on then like instance Lynn, Alex, Susan, Eabha could be a part and add dimension to the 20th!

OMG! I just realized just now aside from that silent night in 2020 we'll get Mairead C and Chloe appear together legit!  ;D

112
Would this possibly lead to alternating rotation similar to the 10th anniversary tour? Each one takes three months? That would be awesome!

Never say "never". I remember the time Kelly and Chloe both did a Facebook Live and kept saying "No, never going back to Celtic Woman. It's changed." Then they would drink everytime the question was asked.

I can see Meav, Chloe and Mairead N doing the tour. For Lisa K that be real surprise. I think Lisa K may of teased she would never come back as in general like Chloe did with a 15th celebration tour or doing a new special with the tour.

The Parting Glass
You Raise Me Up (Guarantee)
Amazing Grace

Walk Beside Me (Bonus)
Danny Boy  ..?

I'm hoping for a You Raise Me Up arrangement that combines my favourite parts from the various versions they performed:
- 2nd verse from The Greatest Journey / Songs From the Heart
- The rising climax of the 2nd last line in the Emerald version
- "Thank you. You have been a wonderful / incredible audience"
- The ending of Homecoming and subsequent tours, where they have a midrange discord resolving upwards to a last-note harmony. Éabha fulfilled that role while she performed with the group.

And of a course a full tribute video montage of all members.

Oh, and they could also have a double high-soprano line to emphasize the last note. Imagine both Méav (if she returns) and Mairéad Carlin with powerful high notes over the top of a gorgeous harmony. Argh! My mouth is watering at the thought!

I'm not sure if they would consider two doing it together now is the time to really do it*! I assumed they would done when Megan joined the group with Mairead C and the only closest thing was when they both did Over the Rainbow. I really can't imagine not doing something like that with Muirgen and Mairead C now that they'll be together in CW. I've been curious for a long time how Time to Say Goodbye sounded when they had Alex with Mairead C. -It be incredible to have an Amazing Grace with everyone with Meav not just the main cast, I'm sure they could do O America the 2016 version with Meav or whoever!

The 2016 version of Walk beside me. If Eabha and Susan can come back, have them, Mairead C and Tara do the main part, then have every singer that's there come out at the last chorus.  Similar to how it was Eabha only at first, then all of them during the Destiny show.

Absolutely! Walk Beside Me is one of the classics from the second era of CW!

Celtic Woman / Re: Where else is CW popular?

Celtic Woman is a worldwide phenomenon in US, Europe, Asia, Australia and South America, North America etc

I can't wait to hear Mairéad, Tara, Muirgen and Emma together! This is going to be outstanding!
If they had a guest along who would you want.

Most of you may know my dream answer would always be Alex and or Lynn for the fact that they also were devoted subs during Emerald Tour, Tenth Anniversary and Homecoming Tour! They never got the Christmas recording treatment, they deserve to be featured as Guests I said this since an X Tour DVD wasn't made. I would of thought it made sense to Guest them on Destiny too for their commited participations to be in when the group needed someone at an important time! I surprisingly want Lisa Lambe as it would be such a surprise and a joy to have her with them... I love Susan not a surprise very likely!

117
I have a feeling for mairead they might have her do Newgrange and then Muirgen doing Dulaman. So many possibilities though!

Makes sense to have Mairead do Newgrange and Nella Fantasia. With Chloe's maturer voice I could see her still do a powerful version of Someday. Muirgen for me would be Down By the Sally Gardens and Ave Maria. These would be fresh for a DVD since Mairead and Muirgen haven't had visual performances of these!

If Meav was guest no doubt would it be iconic to have her visually perform the new Dulaman version for she has done the recording of it first on Voices of Angels! Lynn could be a second frontrunner and Muirgen could then continue it on tour ofc.

I'm all for powerful ones that gave such impact to the group! You would all be crying out if this set list was included like One World and Non Ce Piu though I doubt they keep those only for the highlights of their specials!

The Bean Phaden 2019 version and Nil Sen LA 2017 version have never been recorded during a special and both include my absolute favorite choreography ❤️ The choreography of celebration tour like Orinoco Flow and Mo Ghile Mear last year were some of the most dynamic choreography moves they've ever had! Such improvements.

This 20th Anniversary Special looks and sounds like such a difficult task especially just by what songs to go by along with who gets what and sticking to originality or the best outcome even if it's new! Just speculation but speculating these so called special guests if singers🤭would join on some of the group's famous 4 singer lineup songs and if so that would mean using some of David's Arrangements would be feasible? ///

One thing I can easily predictable Over the Rainbow with Muirgen or Emma would be absolutely magnificent! ;)

A Christmas Symphony Tour 2022 / Re: PBS Special Trailer!

Anyone else ever wondered after seeing this trailer how come seeing O Holy Night in video it's not uploaded on their channel on YouTube?

I was actually looking forward to all new girls that I forgotten that Muirgen wasn't a newbie even though it's her second year but actually that still makes her new for it's not someone who's been there for years!

I wondered since Hannah was brought in and thought how successful Celtic Woman is that being so used all the years of them that there was always a veteran within every new lineup (singer I mean). So for this time around to have all new voices, yes Muirgen is just a year old with CW it would been something exciting and I feel the bonding of the three soloists would been really special since they are moving the tide of CW not alone but together ❤️  and they would have a mama bear mentor Tara to watch guide them along! I was so ready for it <3
This hasn't been within the group's history!*
