Title: Ancient Land: The Dresses
Post by: ShiningBright on January 17, 2019, 03:58:21 PM
I've said so before - I really love the dresses, and I really wonder who made them. They are clearly not Marchesa, but - finally again! - custom made. Does anybody know if Synan is responsible for them again? They look like they could be his but also... well, someone else's. It's awfully difficult to say. They did wear his dresses for the Christmas tour and a tv appearance lately, so I suppose they haven't seperated from his designs.

One thing I tried was searching for the dresses by description (ie. for the Ballroom of Romance ceili dresses, I searched for "lime" and "silk" dresses ... I'm unsure of the material used but silk was my best guess). No luck that way so far.

I would like to know this, as well! I first found the Marchesa dresses on Pinterest, so I will be on the look out in case I happen to come across any similar to the Ancient Land ones. :D

I looked on the DVD insert and only found:

Wardrobe Assistant:
Louisa Parsons

Seamstress:
Yvane Bude

No “Dress Design” like the previous specials.

Mairead Carlin confirmed in a recent article (https://www.image.ie/fashion/mairead-carlin-celtic-woman-style-151388?fbclid=IwAR13tCAlec8n5GU9_jf0GoeFeA76nVeE2VtKQwW3L8-2jOFX-Uu2xs9rjMU) that Rhona Kelly is their current dress designer.
