If Christmas wishes come true, then Celtic Woman will finally win a Grammy for Ancient Land.

I can't imagine I can actually help get them more attention, but it won't stop me from trying.

Twitter is a funny thing. One person retweets the right thing and it can spread and catch on.

Here's my first try of the season:

Quote
I hope lots of people in the recording industry get to listen to @Celtic_Woman #AncientLand and that all the genius and beautiful work on the album gets appreciated. #CelticWoman @RecordingAcad #TheyDeserveIt #BeautifulMusic #WorldMusicAlbum #IrishMusic

If nothing else, maybe Celtic Woman and the girls will appreciate the support.

Suggestions?

When I went to Hollywood to see Chloë I noticed a very novel type of advertisement all over the city: they had these billboards that would show an image of a TV show or movie, say the name, and then say "For Your Consideration".  These ads are targeted at the people who get to nominate and vote for various prestigious TV/movie awards.

Wikipedia has a small article about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/For_Your_Consideration_(advertising)

I just thought it was really interesting to see billboards targeted at a small group of specific people instead of for the general public.

I don't know if people do this kind of thing for the Grammys too.

The Grammy nominations get released this Thursday.

There are actually some changes this year that affect the World Music field.

Other changes put in place affect various categories including those in the World Music Field, which will now determine nominations through its own Nomination Review Committee where the top 15 selections from general voting membership's ballots will be narrowed down to the final five nominations by a Trustee-ratified committee of Voting Member experts.
