There's a tiny bit of info about the EP on one of the links Tracie posted. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/luminare-presents-mairead-carlin-tickets-541766928467Here's the end of the write up. Her first foray into solo artist life since that distant Decca memory is an EP of four songs recorded with arranger/composer/multi instrumentalist and producer Ronan Scolard. On the one hand, she is still a master interpreter of the songs of others: legendary songwriter Brendan Graham (who wrote You Raise Me Up) was so moved by her version of new Christmas Single Orphan Girl on the new EP that he said that Mairead’s “telling of the story brings home, in a most moving way, the life and death situation for the Orphan Girl. I was spellbound.” Mairead, however, is also now finally getting to write her own tracks both on her own and with a host of collaborators, including a forthcoming collection of songs with master songwriter Chris Eaton, and a recent session with Faroese artist, songwriter and producer Teitur.
Born for the big stages, but smart and humble enough to know that big stages are assembled from thousands of nuts, bolts and splinters, 2023 is the year that Mairead Carlin begins raising herself up and building her own platform on which to sing her heart out.
