Orla is releasing a new Christmas album called A Winter's Tale!

A single from the album, Codail A Linbh, is already available!

Spotify:

The album is available to pre-order now and is scheduled for release (in North America, at least) on October 25, 2019 (same day as Celtic Woman: The Magic of Christmas)!

What a day for announcements!

The album has released!

I just finished doing a writeup for Celtic Woman: The Magic of Christmas and it's almost 2:30 AM here on a work night, so I'll be listening to this one after work on Friday.

I just finished listening to Orla's new album A Winter's Tale!

Track List:

1. Codail A Linbh
2. Away In A Manger / Si Bheag Si Mhor
3. In Dulci Jubilo / Sgt. Cahill's Favorite
4. Pat A Pan / Noel Nouvelet
5. Eleanor Plunkett
6. Don Oiche Ud I mBeithil
7. Carol of the Bells / The Angel Gabriel
8. O Little Town of Bethlehem
9. The Holly Bears A Berry/Craigburn Wood
10. O Holy Night
11. Blind Mary
12. Auld Lang Syne

Thoughts

It's similar in style to her other Christmas albums: immensely soothing and pretty.

All the songs are nice. O Holy Night, O Little Town of Bethlehem, and Auld Lang Syne were some of my favorites. There are quite a few medleys on the album. One that stood out was The Holly Bears A Berry/Craigburn Wood, which had some nice vocal harmony (without instrumental backing).

I enjoyed it!
