I saw Ancient Land last night, my 9th show over the last 10 years so I`ve had the chance to see every different show and numerous CW performers. This show was wonderful, full of energy and the crowd was very responsive. As Mairead said"we always love coming to Providence, we always get such a warm welcome". It`s also a great venue for a "bus `n greet" as PPAC has no parking lot so the tour buses park on a side street alongside the theater. Megan came out first...and though there were only about 10 people waiting(looks like most people don`t realize what a golden opportunity it can be)...and she looked quite astonished that people were waiting to see her. She asked everyone several times"Did you enjoy the show?". She took several long minutes to sign autographs , take pics and chat. Then the three other ladies came out and also took time for pics and chatting. I said to Mairead as I opened my jacket and said "remember this?" revealing my "GOT MAIREAD?" shirt which I wear every year. She said " I saw that!" as I had a front row seat. I got nice pics of them and with them. They were all more than gracious. One person was taking a selfie with Mairead, Tara and Eabha and Eabha was giving him directions on how to work the camera. All in all, a great night......annnnnnd.....Tara said to me "Hi!!!! nice to see you AGAIN".....she remembered me from last year ..and the year before. She`s soooooooo nice!

With Susan, Ray, and Anto all absent from the upcoming Ancient Land tour, I think this tour and the fan base have arrived at another crossroad. Similar to the departure of Lisa Kelly, Chloƫ, and Mairead Nesbitt, this news will further divide the fans.
I've already started seeing an influx of infuriating posts declaring that Celtic Woman is no more. I'm sorry if I offend anyone that is of that opinion, but here's my opinion: Celtic Woman has changed and I'm sorry if there are former fans out there who have not.
For those of us that still believe this group is still the most amazing thing we've ever experienced, there are 4 insanely ladies and their band who deserve every bit of our appreciation. They still make the most beautiful music in the world. They are still the classiest act I know. And no matter who is or isn't in the group today or tomorrow, I will love them as much as I ever did.
I`ve seen CW on stage 8 times...will be 9 times 3 weeks from now ....over 10 years so that means I`ve seen many of them come and go but I`ve NEVER been disappointed in any of the shows. Good music is good music and talent always comes through.

How about Eaman? or Sean..or Damon.....just gotta be an Irish name.....even though the squirrel that comes in and climbs in my lap to be hand fed is Evita van Eekhoorn.... that`s Dutch for "squirrel".

Last few years , they`ve ended with "Parting Glass" which seems appropriate but in the "old days" , Chloe, Lynn, Alex, they ended with a really rousing "Spanish Lady". Whatever, I can say that in 8 shows, I`ve NEVER been disappointed in any way. I leave every show being fullfilled and very pleased. Can`t wait for Apr. 2 nd, front row(a.k.a. "the pit" ) and HOPEFULLY seeing them at the stage door for chatting and pics after the show.

Around here , we`re going to only get a piece of the very cold weather for Thurs. then moderation after that. Our biggest weather problem here is never ending rain. We`ve had a years worth of rain in the last 6 months and and January will go down as the wettest January on record. Just another day in Rainland.

I liked the dresses from "At The Ceili" which I saw them perform "donkeys years " ago(that`s an Irish saying)...in fact Lisa Kelly was still with them.

Besides the squirrels, I also have a racoon named "Teddy Bear" that comes in the evening and sometimes very early in the morning. When it sees me, it runs up to the sliding door and waits while I pour out some unsalted peanuts on the deck for it.

The best part of the story is "he is now cancer free"....I had cancer almost 10 years ago and am also cancer free now but I know how difficult it is to be able to get to that point.
