I saw this in my Facebook feed from a radio station based in Boston.

Maybe if we all suggest something by Celtic Woman, they may do it.

A Christmas Symphony Tour 2022 / Re: 2022 Christmas Tour

I hope they come to Pennsylvania, but closer to me as in Scranton or Wilkes-Barre. Although they usually stop in Bethlehem.

General Discussion / Re: New streaming Celtic music "station"

Any of the CW members' solo CD's. The station won't count it as Celtic Woman but as the individual artists instead.

I have some with Mairead Carlin, Lynn Hilary, Lisa Kelly, Chloe Agnew, and Mairead Nesbitt.

General Discussion / New streaming Celtic music "station"
« on: January 08, 2022, 05:08:28 PM »
Not sure where what topic category this fits in, but there is a new streaming Celtic music "station" It is called "Celtic Lightning" and is available on the Audacy app or www.audacy.com and the go to exclusive stations and look for International or Specialty Stations or World Music as it is in all those categories.

Here is the link to it https://www.audacy.com/celticlightning/listen#schedule

By the way I work for one of the Audacy owned radio stations and am the curator of "Celtic Lightning" (and also "Audacy Polka"), which means I pick the music. When they first started the "exclusive stations", I commented on a blog on an employee work site, that the person in charge of the exclusive stations had written. I asked how to suggest different ones in the future and the person in charge commented to email her my suggestions, which I did and I was then asked if I wanted to be a curator and things took off from there.

I tried to pick as much Celtic Woman as it would let me as you could only pick certain number of songs from one artist depending on the number of songs in the playlist.

If you have any suggestions as to songs or artists I should add, please let me know by messaging me here, replying to this post, or emailing me at johnlucas91@yahoo.com

Celtic Woman / Re: My idea for another Christmas album
« on: November 28, 2021, 10:48:20 PM »
My suggestions are "O Bambino (One Cold and Blessed Winter)"

and some Polish carols specifically "Lulajże Jezuniu" -"Lullaby Sweet Jesus";
"Christ the King Is Born (Gdy Się Chrystus Rodzi)"; and "Today in Bethlehem (Dzisiaj W Betlejem)"

The Polish carols can be sung in English, but the tunes so beautiful and I would like to hear the vocal harmonies

I didn't have a chance to come up with ideas for the other tracks, but for "Angel", they could use an animal shelter with the animals being highlighted.

I wish I could get Celtic Woman's permission to use their version to make a video or a slideshow of adoptable animals for my local animal shelter. I should email them and see.

Celebration's on Tour / Re: 2021 Tour Postponed

Maybe they could do a virtual concert (with no audience) for drive in theaters?

Also I like the idea of releasing old shows from past tours which maybe could also be shown at drive in theaters.

The drive in close to where I live had virtual concerts last summer.

GlenS- Thank you for looking into it.

P.S.- Since you have a better connection with CW than I do, could you suggest to them to come back to Scranton, PA or Wilkes-Barre, PA next year. It has been 3 years since they were in this area.

I just spoke with someone at UPAC in Kingston, NY as they had called me to let me know that March 19th show was postponed and  from what the woman from UPAC had said was that the rest of the tour has been cancelled and they will try to get the same venues next year. I checked the Celtic Woman website and didn't see anything as of yet.
Can anyone confirm the information about the rest of the tour?

GlenS- It is the venue. It was because of the order by the governor of New York.

The show in Kingston, NY has also been postponed.
