Title: Whine Party (movie)
Post by: CWazyTom on December 31, 2018, 03:31:27 PM
Back in 2016, Chloë was part of the cast of a movie called Whine Party (from Frantic Lounge Films).

Sources:
- Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/whineparty?source=feed_text&story_id=972132269547726)
- It was also previously posted on Chloë's old site, but that reference is no longer available.

Shooting started back in February 19, 2016 and wrapped on March 13, 2016.

Info

Chloë plays a character called Becky:

While looking for updates online in 2017, I stumbled across this synopsis and conceptual video for the movie from 2012 (over 6 years ago).

It's quite possible a lot has changed about the movie since 2012, but some may find this interesting:

Here's a quote from writer/director Michael McAdam:

Quote
In a nutshell, the film takes place at a party.  Deb, who is throwing the party for friends and family (and a few uninvited guests show up), is making an announcement.  Everyone just assumes that she is announcing her engagement but that isn't it... It is a comedy with a little mystery thrown in for good measure.

The trailer video was shot with a handheld without fancy lighting / sound as it was just a demo for a fundraiser. It doesn't have Chloë as it was made several years before he was involved. It looks like the fundraiser didn't make it to their goal then, so it probably got delayed.

Here is a more recent trailer that DOES feature brief glimpses of Chloë!!!

Status

They completed a rough cut (https://www.facebook.com/FranticLoungeFilms/photos/a.103552933072335/1376151909145758/?type=3&__xts__%5B0%5D=68.ARBe2G25PX9_qCceaV5ruUF8hjoJ08zzuTeh8EK-tWazt4veGoP2PUQc9V1bMMwKpIXaXZpPyzCEZdaRFxcPSGuuR8UJHHThPpFEOL7BAiGWikibjei8Nab1Amb_LIk0bBA4CnydMqUALSahS-Ev7S5x9mqlEkSaldcy5SrRO0BEuB_38g3CcOqz7wKmhnb1hmqG25VJeRrdDnLOIsCx2cLA5Z7uWda0uNy3C3QL22CY49_zT9CN2jDKh-L5kX-yrfKOJvLgJwy3Etv8m9cXcXOJCECQi2d01WDkvH1FqeMNdTyySNfglC-_A4FvWS9GEEbPn21f-RXT8gWAfAERZ2zOtGcL6GHYZy-LLzSS06w74-yg1fgth_ZYA03HSzIgaXUHsp1jW4RGYKRXqBvKeP_ws9os867ga8UjiyhU-U-37vrFFj8G8UDN8dVcGhEPGAmIKIOP97Q_lrJxMBX16aiIfaNQ61sKzqrvQ08hXp4y6IstjCH0KlguUFXqtxT1ZchmJQ&__tn__=-R) back in 2017.

It has been in post-production for a long time. It was though to be releasing in 2017 (it was mentioned in Chloë and Lisa's Live Q&A in May: https://www.facebook.com/ChloeAgnew/videos/1333052316709971/), but didn't.

Now, in mid-2019, we're still waiting for an update.

I'm guessing they ran into funding issues.  :'(

It may not win any awards or anything, but I would really love to see Chloë acting on the big screen or even on a DVD. She is such an expressive person and if you've seen her in Celtic Woman or seen her live shows, you know what a presence she has as a performer.

Here's hoping that 2019 is the year we get to see Chloë on the big screen!

And yes, I'm well aware that they (accidentally?) tagged Chloë's secret private profile in the pictures. I've been aware of her 'other' profile for quite a while, but I only interact with her through her public profile. Please keep her other account quiet. Let's respect the privacy of her alter ego account.
