So I watched Ancient Land again last night (💖💖💖) and I noticed the Celtic trinity design on the stage. I remember on my trip to Ireland seeing trinity symbols in gift shops, etc was very common, and I read somewhere that before it took on the meaning of the Christian trinity, it was representative of land, sea, and sky. I’m sure this wasn’t intentional, but I thought it was pretty cool that our soprano, Mai, was in a gown that looked like the night sky, our mezzo, Megan, was in green, and our alto, Eabha, was in a blue-green gown reminiscent of the ocean. It’s almost as if the three vocalists were representing sky (Mai), land (Megan), and sea (Eabha), with the coloring of their first act gowns as well as their vocal parts! You could even say Tara represented fire with her orange hair and smoky gray gown, giving us fire, earth, air, and water! Idk I’m overthinking, just thought it was cool 😆
