For the first time, CaraNua has announced a new member: Lisa Nolan!

Lisa was part of the Babylon Sisters, along with Lynn Hilary and Rebecca Winckworth.

I'm unsure if one of the original members has other commitments (ie. the upcoming Celtic Woman Best of Christmas / 2019 tours) or if CaraNua is expanding to 4 members.

Here's the Facebook post with the big news!

I seen a post some where someone asked if someone was leaving or going to 4 and a person came back and said going to 4 I don't know but will see

A fan asked if the group was becoming a quartet and a pretty knowledgeable fan replied that they were:
https://www.facebook.com/caranua/photos/a.1188292101235077.1073741830.1174832965914324/1942618735802406/?type=3

However, I'm unsure if that was an assumption, wishful thinking, or if he has inside information. I suspect it's an assumption that none of the existing members are leaving for other commitments. CaraNua or its existing members didn't reply to that question yet or like / react to the fan's response.

Based on Alex's post, it seems like she may be staying with the group:

Thrilled to have Lisa Nolan join us and very excited to have her share her talents with CaraNua and all of you guys!!!

The way she wrote it certainly makes it sound like she's not going anywhere.

I suspect Lisa was Lynn's pick and that leads me to believe Lynn is probably not going anywhere either.

Edel does have a variety of things going on in her career from one moment to the next, including Riverdance. However, my guess would be she's staying too, which would indeed make CaraNua a quartet ...

... or alternatively, a rotating group of 3, so that the group can be more resilient to the commitments of individual members. If individual member commitments was something holding back CaraNua from committing to a tour, a rotating lineup would give individual members flexibility while giving the group stability. It might be frustrating for fans, but it's probably better for the group overall.

Anyways, that's all speculation and I'm sure we'll hear more official details soon.

We're getting more and more clues on social media.

One of the most telling posts came on Twitter last week:
https://twitter.com/AidiMac/status/1020224363906379776

@AidiMac
Work in Progress. 3 tiaras, each Handcrafted in Yellow gold, Rose gold and silver. For the singing group @CaraNua_music about to launch their US tour

Firstly, the tiaras look cool.

Second, the Tweet mentions there are 3 tiaras. That suggests to me that they MAY not perform as a 4-person group in the upcoming tour. It could mean the group will remain as three total members or it could mean there will be three performers at a time (a changing lineup).

The Tweet basically leaked the massive news we already suspected, that there is a US tour coming!

Another Tweet by @AidiMac included photos of Lynn and Lisa Nolan trying on their tiaras:
https://twitter.com/AidiMac/status/1020232798660120577

The post tagged Alex, but not Edel. Alex and Lynn liked the post. Edel (as of the time I checked) did not. However, the post didn't mention Lisa, but tagged Celtic Woman ... so that one's kind of all over the place, but it could be providing important (or misleading) clues.

Maybe it's just a weird angle, but does Alex look different?

@AidiMac
The ladies of @CaraNua_music came in for a visit to see the progress on their tiaras and get a fitting before flying out to the States  @lynnhilary  @AlexSharpe1 #celticwoman #irishjewellery I'll post some more behind the scenes later today @Celtic_Woman.

Here are some more pictures of Lynn and Lisa trying on their tiaras. So I think we can safely conclude Lynn and Lisa are scheduled to be on the tour and most likely Alex as well, which contradicts some of the rumors.

So what can we conclude about Edel not being included in the above? The short answer is not much. Edel is performing with Riverdance right now, so we can't conclude based only on this evidence whether she will be part of CaraNua on the US tour or not. ;) She may be getting her Tiara later after she's completed her current commitments with Riverdance.

Or it could mean something more.

I'd say we need to wait for more tantalizing teasers.  ;D

Lisa Nolan has performed with CaraNua before.

This time, she's taking over for Edel (I say taking over instead of replacing, because replacing Edel is impossible).

... But remember that time when Lisa filled in for Alex?

Lisa Nolan

Lisa Nolan formed a harmony group with Lynn Hilary and Lorna Kennedy in 2003 called "The Lost Chords" which poerformed at weddings and corporate functions etc.

Lisa was a backing vocalist on two of Scott Maher's albums.

She then formed a harmony group called Musa in 2010 with Lorna Kennedy and Labhaoise Brennan.
- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Musa-373613412931/
- Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/musaharmony
- Web site: https://www.musasingers.com/
- The Musa "Profiles" page on their site has some information about her.
- The "video" page has a video of them performing "Make You Feel My Love" (https://youtu.be/Kucb-coZEgI). She's the one wearing green. It's good, but I like their other songs (below) more.
- Their "Listen" page has some of their songs (some of these are really good):
   One Hand, One Heart
   The Flower Duet
   Ag Criost An Siol
   Panis Angelicus
   Time After Time
   Nothing Else Matters
   Pocket Full of Rainbows
   Nella Fantasia
   May Morning Dew
   Fair & Tender Ladies
   Bonnie Blue Eyed Nancy

I'm not sure if Musa recorded an album or not. I haven't found one yet.

The harmony parts near the end of Nella Fantasia aren't perfect. But this is a song I always wished Celtic Woman had covered as a group harmony and this might be the closest we get. That ending has shades of gorgeous.

Lisa was formed a harmony group called "Babylon Sisters" in 2012 with Lynn Hilary and Rebecca Winckworth:
