Megan News / Re: Megan on PFI Tour end
« on: June 12, 2022, 11:49:36 AM »
I'm still a bit worried to be honest. She wouldn't go home if it wasn't really necessary. So I really hope Megan is doing okay or will feel better very soon!

Eabha McMahon / Re: Eabha's first solo concert

I haven't been able to see the concert and am very curious. How was it? And what was the announcement? I heard another one of her announcements, that she is pregnant and will have a baby girl. So that's huge news! But I guess the announcement was about something else.

Any chance they will come to Europe for the 15th Anniversary Tour as well? Most of the time they come to Europe every 2 years. But i would love to see them more often! :) Especially with a special tour like this one. I'm so curious about the songs!

We here on the forum often find out about things they have planned before the official announcements get made. If we find out anything about Europe, we'll certainly post it! Hope they do a Europe Celebration tour for you!

Thank you so much Tracie! And it's so cool that you got to talk with the ladies recently! :) It is surprising to me that they didn't know their schedule yet. I would have thought they would be the first ones to know.

General Discussion / Celtic Woman Secret Santa
« on: October 21, 2019, 01:39:45 PM »
Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there has ever been a (Celtic Woman or Irish themed) Secret Santa event on this forum. The idea is for everyone to make a wishlist. Then everyone will receive someone elses wishlist and play secret santa. As a secret santa you will buy the gifts, wrap them beautifully and put a card with it, with some nice wishes on it.

Would some of the members here like to try out this idea? On another forum there was a Secret Santa tradition and that was really nice! Everyone would show some pictures from their gifts afterwards, to share their Secret Santa experience.

Let me know what you guys think about this and if it would even be possible.

Ancient Land on Tour / Re: Europe Tour Dates
« on: October 20, 2019, 01:03:55 PM »
I went to the opening show of the European Ancient Land tour in Amsterdam. It was such a magical evening! And the audience gave everyone on stage a very warm welcome! <3

The song that was the most emotional to me this evening, was the Parting Glass. The song has a special meaning to me and the friend who came with me.

I was also very happy that we got to hear the beautiful Ae fond kiss! Máiréad has such an enchanting voice and i think it really shows in this song. She tells the story so beautifully! I hoped that Máiréad woud perform this song, so i was very glad it happened.

A song that always makes me happy is Siúil a rún. I think this version of the song is one of my favorites so far! The harp and the flute are amazing, as well as Éabha's deep voice. When i think of celtic music, i think of a voice like hers. And Tara, where to start. Such an incredible talented lady! She always surprises me with her musical talent.

Megan sang the incredible song Fields of gold. I had the feeling she sang this song in a way that was different from the other songs she did. The friend who came with me absolutely loved this and thought Megan is perfect for Celtic Woman! I agree :)

Another favorite of mine, Going home was played as well and when they did The kesh inn the crowd went wild. They got a very long applause and standing ovation after this song!

It was an evening that i won't forget very soon and i hope to see the ladies back in the Netherlands next year! It is amazing to see how much everyone enjoys being on stage. Not only the ladies, but also the dancers and the other musicians. It was an absolute joy to watch!

@CWazyTom: It was so amazing! And so nice to meet people from all over the world who share the love for Celtic Woman. It was also great to read your review on visiting both Ancient Land shows!

Hello everyone,

My name is Anna, a Celtic Woman fan from the Netherlands. I have been a huge fan of Celtic Woman for a very long time (can't remember when i started listening to their music). During Christmas or New Year's Eve we always watch the Celtic Woman dvd's with the family. I absolutely love Celtic Woman; The beautiful voices, the Irish vibe, the harmonies. But what makes it even more beautiful for me, is to see how much all of the girls show their love for what they are doing.

Last year i finally got to see Celtic Woman live in my hometown (Voices of Angels tour). It was absolutely amazing!!!

Everytime i watched one of their castle dvd's i was thinking: "I wish i could have been there as well". It looked so amazing to be in the audience. And this year my dream came true. I was able to be in the audience at one of the Ancient Land recordings. It was absolutely fabulous!! Can't wait for the dvd to come out!

Greetings to you all from the Netherlands :)
