So just saw Mairead's A Celtic Summer Night is coming to Tampa, Florida on August 31 at 8:00.  No idea how to add it to the calendar.   It's at The Centro Asturiano de Tampa.  This is an old, but really interesting venue in the Ybor City area.  I've seen some shows there.  Typically, it's open seating in one of 3 price ranges.  If the show is predominately music, I usually sit in the upper level.  Even front row isn't really close to the stage.

Looked on the venue's website. There was only a private event listed. Maybe it's for club members only

Go to maireadnesbittviolin.com and click on tour.  You will see the various shows.  You buy tickets thru a 3rd party.

Ended up going to the Celtic Summer Night show.  Mixed feelings.  Yes Mairead was her usual energenic self, jumping and dancing around the stage.  The show was mostly about the students of the Irish Dance school.  I guess Mairead was on stage maybe 50% of the time. Alex did, I think, about 4 songs.  Most of the show (90 ish minutes) was the students.  OK, some were really good.  And how can a maybe 6 year old not be cute!

My biggest objection was the sound.  Obviously everything was pre-recorded.  Yes, Mairead played along and Alex sang along.  The problem is the music volume was so high, you had real trouble hearing Mairead and Alex.  I get you need volume when there is dance, but I always thought most sound systems had a volume control!

Anyway, it was nice to hear/see Mairead and Alex again.  Did I really look at what this show was?  No.  It was in my home town so why not.

Any insight on what the four songs Alex sang were.
One of them I catched was one of the Anicent Land song's which Alex actually performed did while filling in CW on the Homecoming Tour.
