Title: Song Club (Chris Difford)
Post by: CWazyTom on October 23, 2020, 09:17:45 PM
Mairead Carlin was in 2 duets on Chris Difford's Song Club album:

Hope We All Deserve (with Roisin Donald, aka ROE). Arranged, produced, and mixed by Ronan.

Still With You (co-written with Mark Nevin, performed with Ronan Scolard). She wrote this song about being on tour and suddenly being home with Ronan and finally having time to just be, together.

Mairead wrote / co-wrote both songs.

The album is in aid of Royal College of Nurses.

Mairead was of course the highlight of the album.

Some of the other tracks from the album I enjoyed:
- Invisible Smile
- Six Degrees
- Code Sunshine

I absolutely adore Mairead's songs on this album. They are so beautifully written with very touching lyrics and beautifully arranged and performed. I really enjoyed the entire album too. I listened to it while working today (after having listened to Mairead's two songs right away at the 11pm release last night of course!) and thought it was nice easy listening. It's a really lovely album and I'll be listening to it often. And the proceeds go to a wonderful cause. I'd definitely recommend!

I liked Bittersweet and Mairéad's Still With You
