Éabha announced on social media that Celtic World is releasing 2 singles. In the sprit of the Celtic World Forum, the tracks will feature a collection of Irish musicians coming together. The first track, "I Left My Heart," releases March 15. Some clips from the first song were released on Social Media. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4Qloj_sPPK/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==I love the way it sounds! The second track, "Ireland," releases March 29th. Vocalists include Éabha, Megan, Caitriona Sherlock and Fergus Cahillane. Tara Howley is on pipes and whistles and there are other familiar names from Celtic World Forum that played instruments on the first track.

I finally had a chance to watch the on-demand production.
Oh ... my ... goodness! It was incredible!
I've often enjoyed the beauty of Lisa's voice, but have rarely experienced its full power. She is unleashed in this production!
There is a pretty heavy dose of British comedy, especially in the first half, complete with slapstick, but I found it fun. The second half is phenomenal! The actress who portrayed Queenie is an absolute powerhouse! The story, a twist on the classic fairy tale, is surprisingly compelling and it packs an emotional punch, especially in the second half.
There were some really pretty lighting effects as well.
I don't think this is on DVD / Blu-Ray (if it is, someone please send me a link) because I want to watch it over and over!

Ronan announced this week that he has an EP almost ready. The hope is to release it this spring.

For some reason I can't currently find the song on any digital platform (at least not from here). I can only see the YouTube video posted by a fan.

That sounds really good!
Where did that come from?
Is that the Roots of Ireland version? Is it a recent recording?

It's a cover over a trad song popularized by The Chieftains and The Corrs.

It's been a long time since there was a music-related Hayley update. Today, Delaney Davidson released a new track (and associated music video): "Heaven Is Falling" Hayley co-wrote the song, although she doesn't sing in the track. It's a "trippy" / surreal / strange video. Enjoy: https://youtu.be/aCYCBYZtyf8?si=HiI9fvzt3K6u5fQG

It feels like the photo book was random photos cobbled hastily together, rather than created with the love such memories deserve. It's a nice souvenir, but it could have been a lot better.

Since we have one of these threads for David Downes, I've decided to start one for Brian Byrne as well.
From 20 (20th Anniversary):
Is Sinne Mná na hÉireann Lay Your Head Down (From the Albert Nobbs soundtrack. Glenn Close wrote the lyrics.) Sionann (Shannon) Tread Lightly An Cailín Dearg
Side-note: Darrah O'Toole's The Toys' Waltz was also one of his own compositions, re-purposed for the Christmas Cards from Ireland EP and corresponding Postcards from Ireland PBS special. But that didn't warrant its own thread.

Well, this is unfortunate.
Release time has come and gone. The CD price on Amazon of course got jacked up. The DVD appears in Amazon Canada now, but they appear to all be from 3rd parties (probably bootleg copies or resales of the DVDs from PBS). Also, since the DVD is not sold by "Amazon" it doesn’t contribute to the $35 needed for free shipping.
I then checked on US Amazon and those also seemed to be predominately bootleg or resell copies. I managed to find the DVD sold by "Amazon" but given the picture of the item is wrong, I'm not sure I trust the source. Even if the ones sold by Amazon.com (not some sketchy seller listing on Amazon), there is of course shipping cost and import fees, rather than the free shipping I'd have within the coutry.
I'm not sure what's happening here. I might have to order directly from the Celtic Woman site and absorb the shipping cost.

It seems they may have filmed this a while ago and it might be airing quite soon. Perhaps in March?
