Amazing!! Since it may pop up on passport, I doubt it but maybe O Holy Night was a hidden bonus in the special in complete view form..

Whew...that was hard!  :P

Haha! I told Emma in person my fave line of the whole 20th concert is the "wash & wring" one. She said, "Oh this one?" and did the flamenco style hand clapping briefly.

Here's a version of 'Si Do Mhaimeo I' with Lisa and Mairead C.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlmraqyCJc0

How cool you got to tell her!! My line that really ignited me that she is an official CW is the part clap sowed a coat of the finest kind" love love her she has really impressed me she's as impressive and dynamic as Mairead C except Mairead isn't a newbie! Her huge smile when they are dancing around in this song shows her passion of dancing which is quite telling for a first time Celtic Woman dancer aside Mairead Nesbitt 😏!

I'll try again. If I'm wrong this time, that'll be 3 strikes. So we'll have to rely on someone smarter than me.  :P

Is it 'Si Do Mhaimeo I'?
- It isn't 'original' in that they didn't write it. But it is 'original' in that it's on the original album.
- It was later redone as a duet on the Emerald tour. I don't think it was re-done after that as a duet or group performance.

👏 :P

Congratulations! 🎊  You win the finest coat sewed from Emma!

It wasn't re-done after that Emerald Tour version but Meav did Guest on Destiny and sang a new touch solo version alongside with Mairead Nesbitt on the violin so it's pretty different in ways too.. I do say the duet was one of the phenomenal evolution ✨️ evolvement for that song. What is a real bummer is there was so many rotational versions that we couldn't listen to from anyone on the internet.

Meav and Mairead C - Found
Lynn and Mairead C - Emerald Tour so Def Found, X also
Lynn and Alex - unfound
Alex and Mairead C - unfound
Eabha and Mairead C? Did they keep that song for the fall tour because it dawns me there couldn't be a clip of Eabha with Carlin...

@rfcw: You are right, they did promote it & did shoot it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiseSoGxswI

The frustrating thing for me is I just saw the special, but can't remember for myself if they played O Holy Night. Especially since the setting looks like that for Silent Night.  ???

Absolutely> this is the clip that opened my eyes about O Holy Night. Something that's very interesting about it with this promotion is maybe when they made this trailer whoever did at the time it was certain it would release with the others but it didn't. Makes me assume Celtic Woman has so much under in their vault from all the years!

I'll try another guess. Is it Sive, which is a new form of Shadhbh Ní Bhruinnealaigh (previously a solo)?

Hmm. But again I'm not sure it fits the 'first classics original' requirement of your question.

.. the song was a solo at first for one of the original members.

... The Christmas videos played!  :o

There was one video for each of the 4 tracks on the Christmas Cards from Ireland EP. In the order they appeared in the Holiday Edition Postcards special:
- O Holy Night
- I Saw Three Ships
- Silent Night
- The Toys' Waltz

I wasn't a big fan of the EP. None of the tracks worked very well for me. But just like Postcards, somehow seeing the emotion the girls were pouring into the songs made a huge difference. All the problems with the arrangements and mixing got supplanted by the visual treat unveiled on the screen.

It's interesting here @CwazyTom somehow state's there was 1 video for each of the 4 tracks!

@rfcw: Do you mean they just didn't release it as a video single? Yeah, that doesn't make sense to me since they should already have the video shot & ready to go. I could only find this:

I am one of the first classics original song, a solo brought back and turned into a new form. Not only that but my choreography was well worth a recording that never took off or rearranged! Which tune am I?

Hmm. This one is hard. I am thinking Shenandoah, which was a violin solo then a vocal solo that was never redone.

But I don't think it fits the 'original' requirement of your question.

Well, I don't mind being wrong. And I wanted to keep the ball rolling.

A very good guess... a hint is it's title starts with an S but it isn't this one...thanks for keeping the game rolling.. ;)

Such a Beautiful rendition of Auld Layne Syne!😱

@CWazyTom
Sounds fun! Thanks for posting. I remember you said this was your next concert after CW Christmas. (You also said you were getting sick.)

My favorite part of your reports are always the after show part. Nice idea on the Christmas cards!

I miss Susan! I'm glad to see she is still at the top of her game. My local PBS has been showing Postcards Holiday Edition. So I get to see her that way. I hope she can make some guest appearances on the 20th anniversary tour.

Just to confirm they didn't play or showcase O Holy Night version of Postcards from Ireland Holiday Edition! On sneak trailers were scenes however the song music video for that one didn't release. I wonder why .

It's the PFI version for me!!! Muirgen, Megan, Chloe, and Tara looked like they were having a blast every time! And the energy of the choreography matched the energy of the song in a MUCH better way than the 20th Anniversary choreography did. The Homecoming version was okay but it was almost like a transition between the Gavin Murphy Destiny Tour version where the girls all played instruments while singing it and his later version for Celebration and PFI where they were instead singing and dancing.

I so agree, ever since Celebration that one and Mo Ghile Mear (My Gallant Star) the choreography was incredible....actually this Mo Ghile Mear to me deserved a recording performance the best choreo happens to always appear during tour and not on video!

I chose 20th Anniversary because the dueling fiddles was so awesome!

For that very reason I agree 😊 I haven't thought of that since I was more going with which sound, chores, style...
