At the end of the online PBS "Virtual Visit" today (basically a live Q+A interview between a PBS host and Megan, Susan, Tara, and Chloë), they formally announced the Postcards from Ireland tour in (hopefully) 2022. They also announced that the Postcards from Ireland PBS special would be airing on PBS this December (2021).
Since the Killarney shows have been postponed to 2022, there are a few possibilities I can think of: 1. They're going to do a live recording in the fall at a different venue that hasn't been announced yet. I think that's extremely unlikely given all the uncertainty associated with containment measures. 2. They're going to do a live recording in a theatre without an audience. This still seems a bit risky considering how strict the lockdowns have been in Ireland. 3. They're doing a music-video-style DVD, where they pre-record the tracks, then record them performing at various places in Ireland (might be challenging since restrictions will still be in place for many months). This would be similar in format to Chloë's Walking in the Air DVD. 4. Video clips from past shows (ie. Celebration 2.0) (please let the DVD include an extensive documentary feature this time). 5. Video footage of scenery from Ireland during the music (this would be similar to what Tim Janis does with his DVDs and YouTube videos). The background music would be either new studio recordings or recordings of past studio performances/DVDs.

Eabha's album had a pretty big debut on the charts.
It's currently sitting #1 on the Ireland iTunes World Albums chart and #2 on the USA iTunes World Albums chart and it peaked at #1!

I received my pre-order CD copy.
Her album is absolutely amazing. It's definitely one of my top 3 solo albums ever, maybe #1. Every track is fantastic. Gavin Murphy's melodies and instrumentals are top notch and Eabha's a great songwriter.
Most of the tracks have a world pop sound, quite different than most of her Celtic Woman solos (more like Garden of Eden than anything else she performed in Celtic Woman). She excelled out of her comfort zone though. There's a variety of styles on the album and her voice works for all of them. There's lots of deep, epic percussion and they got the most out of basically every track.
What an awesome album!

Has there been any word if the Killarney Shows are still happening in August of this year. If they are, I hope there will be the option for ticketholders to view the concert online. Unfortunately given current circumstances (including vaccine rollout) it seems unlikely I'll be able to travel to Ireland this summer to watch
We're not sure yet what will happen with the Killarney shows. We probably won't find out until a couple of months before the scheduled show date unless things take a dramatic turn for the better or worse before summer. There's basically 0% I'll be able to get vaccinated by August. I'd be surprised if they allowed entry into Ireland by August without proof of vaccination and/or a mandatory quarantine period.

Another album variant called Celtic Lands has released which includes tracks that are on neither the original Celtic Heart nor Time of the Trees CDs: Ever I Love You, Ocean Ledges, Ever Enchanted.
Track list of "Celtic Lands:"
1. Ever I Love You* 2. Merrily Kiss 3. Fall of the Great Forest 4. Ocean Ledges* 5. Celtic Heart 6. Western Realms 7. Danny Boy 8. Isle of Skye 9. She Moved Through the Fair 10. Kid on the Mountain (was called Kid Ar An Sliabh on Celtic Heart and Time of the Trees) 11. Beyond the Evening Star 12. Ever Enchanted* 13. The Ring of Brodgar 14. Light on the Sea 15. The Light of Highland Meadow 16. The Fairy Glen 17. Winter's Gate 18. The Ancient Woods 19. Through the Mountains 20. The Parting Glass
Three of the songs are from Tim Janis' previous albums and don't feature Máiréad Nesbitt or Lynn: - "Ever I Love You" is lovely Tim Janis instrumental from his album "The Promise" (2005) - Ocean Ledges is a pretty instrumental from "Flowers in October" (2003). It's also on "An Enchanted Evening" (2007) and "Morning Sunrise Vol 1" (2021). - "Ever Enchanted" is a Tim Janis instrumental from Life Songs (2008)
Merrily Kiss (the Quaker) features Máiréad and a digitally inserted audience clapping along.
I do prefer the Celtic Heart album covers that Lynn and/or Máiréad on the cover.

I thought I posted this months ago, but I guess not.
Essentially, the "Time of the Trees" DVD has 6 new tracks in the form of music videos (shot separately from the content on the original DVD) at the cost of 6 of the tracks on some of the original DVD and with some slightly different ordering.
Regular "Celtic Heart" DVD:
1. Fairy Glen 2. Isle of Skye 3. The White Forest 4. Winter's Gate 5. Fall of the Great Forest 6. The Ancient Woods 7. Through the Mountains* 8. Hidden Forest* 9. Mountain at the River* 10. Shadow Glass* 11. Kid ar an Sliabh 12. The Light of the Highland Meadow* 13. Western Realms 14. Beyond the Evening Star 15. Spirit Lake* 16. Celtic Heart Bonus: - The Ring of Brodgar - Spirit of the Trees - Light on the Sea - Cast interviews with Jim Masters
Time of the Trees DVD
1. The Parting Glass (Lynn and Máiréad Nesbitt)* 2. Merrily Kiss the Quaker / Denis Murphy's Slide (Mairead Nesbitt)* 3. Isle of Skye 4. Fall of the Great Forest 5. Kid ar an Sliabh 6. Danny Boy (Máiréad Nesbitt)* 7. The Butterfly (Máiréad Nesbitt)* 8. Winter's Gate 9. Beyond the Evening Star 10. The White Forest 11. Oró Sé do Bheatha 'Bhaile / The Miller of Glanmire (Máiréad Nesbitt)* 12. She Moved Through the Fair (Lynn + Máiréad Nesbitt)* 13. Fairy Glen 14. Western Realms 15. The Ancient Woods 16. Celtic Heart Bonus: - The Ring of Brodgar - Spirit of the Trees - Light on the Sea - Cast interviews with Jim Masters
Tracks on Celtic Heart but not Time of the Trees DVD: - Through the Mountains - Hidden Forest (that's a bit of a travesty it was removed from Time of the Trees ... it was my favourite) - Mountain at the River - Shadow Glass - The Light of the Highland Meadow - Spirit Lake
Tracks added on Time of the Trees DVD: - The Parting Glass - Merrily Kiss the Quaker / Denis Murphy's Slide - Danny Boy - The Butterfly (my new favourite version) - Oró Sé do Bheatha 'Bhaile / The Miller of Glanmire - She Moved Through the Fair

Has anyone received their copy of the DVD yet? I ordered back in the beginning of February and have not received a shipping email saying order is on the way.
I received my Celebration DVD from the Celtic Woman site a while ago.
